This thermostat was very easy to install. People think we have a lot of money since we inherited a 2000 Mercedes Benz but I assure you that is not the case. I find videos to watch installation and usually they're harder than the video, but this one was actually easier. All you will need for this year car is the thermostat (which comes with the gasket), an E10 inverted Torx (female) socket and a 7 mm socket to remove the upper radiator hose. It's only 2 bolts holding in the thermostat. I was able to work around the serpentine belt and pulley with a short extension on my ratchet. I didn't drain all the antifreeze, I just disconnected the upper hose and let it drain into a catcher. The part was a perfect fit and I used the ratchet to slowly tighten the housing equally on each side. I can fix my own car as a petite female with parts from Amazon. ... show more

    • Part was fine but had no gasket!
Was not happy to be replacing a water pump and thermostat on a customers vehicle and the new thermostat didn't include a new gasket as advertised. Will not buy again due to this! Sloppy packaging!
