I have used this outdoors with success. It is just a basic length of chain. It has not rusted and it has held up well. I am expecting years of use out of this simple chain. I don't use it to pull or move any heavyweight. I use it to secure things as a backup or redundancy to secure different items I am working with outdoors. I like that it has a carabiner so I do not have to use another lock on it for anything. The carabiner does not replace the security of a lock but it works fine if you do not have to hold anything in place of any real value.

The quality is ok, the soldering is not the best but paint hide that a little bit. Is not a "high security" chain. is intended more to "hold stuff". I wanted a chain to keep a gate that I have closed, but the gate is black, and the chains dont look too go on it. I know I'm a little picky, but here I am, finally a black chain, stainless steel, meant for outdoor! Looks like high temp painting, or something, since didn't came off after several hits, and didnt scratch either. Highly recommended, again, not for high security, like chaining an expensive bike, this chain could be somehow easy break it by prying it.

Certain people (or person) kept leaving the back yard gate open and the dogs kept getting out. This solved the problem. Only my husband and I have a key to the padlock we bought to go with this. It isn't an overly heavy chain, but nobody is getting this off without a bolt cutter. We looped it through the chain link gate doors and padlocked it together. Dogs are now contained. We're happy.

Great product to secure your chain-link fencing. Generous size. And black coating protects your offense. One curious addition is the carabiner clip. If you use this, your lock is pointless. Make sure you lock the links to the links, not the clip.

This chain looks nice in the black coating. It's a good weight and comes with the carabiner. All of my other fence chains are silver stainless steel. This black coated chain definitely looks way better. I'm ordering more so the gates at the front of the farm can match.

Sturdy Stainless Steel Chain Hanger. Painted black with a black carbiner, and about 2’ long. It’s just right for our hummingbird feeder (see photo). I know, over-kill you might say, a strong steel chain to hold up a delicate bird feeder; but it keeps the feeder in place and not blowing around in every breeze, and it’s long enough for me to reach the feeder from the ground without a step ladder. So over-kill or not, I like the chain, it’s well made and free from defects or rough edges and will surely outlast the feeder, and I rate it 5*.
