I ordered the GASUR Heated Cat House for my older cat. It arrived in standard Amazon packing, Right out of the box you have to assemble the walls and attach the roof onto the bottom portion of the house. No tools needed, straight forward and very easy set up. It comes with a heating pad which is a nice bonus, as sometimes those are "extra" and are not even included with the shelter. That is a bonus in my opinion. The exterior of the cat house is so cute with all of the fun details. Honestly, it's very similar to a mini doll house something along those line. Yes, it's official... My Cat has approved !! I love finding her all curled up sleeping like the little kitten she once was. It is being marketed as "waterproof" However, I for my own reasons have decided to keep the house either inside our house, or I can always put it out on the front porch that is covered. I think it would have a longer lifespan if it does not have to be completely exposed to the outside elements. But in the event you have to put the house outside - the manufacture included 2 metal stakes that will allow for you to fasten the shelter into place . Without the cat inside the cat shelter is very light weight and would blow away, so you may want to think about that if this is the case. This is a double door design, allows quick in and out access into the shelter. The doorways are covered with a clear plastic door flaps fastened onto the house with a snap button design. The clear plastic flap is the only thing that bugs me about this. And is mostly due to the fact that one of the buttons on the flap was put on crooked and it doesn't completely line up very well, And because of this minor flaw it doesn't allow the plastic door flap cover to hang properly. So I decided to just remove it completely and leave the one flap covering the other door. It works just fine. Compared to other cat houses on Amazon, I think it's probably because of the fact that it "includes" the heating pad as some others DO NOT. The cat is happy, so I am happy. I recommend this to cat owners alike.

When I placed the order, I assumed the house would be made of hard plastic because the description says PVC. Its not, the walls are made of cardboard covered encased with the apparently PVC fabric, which feels more like the material you would find in Pack n Play for a baby or one of those folding camp chairs. The floor and walls are all one piece that comes folded flat and you assemble by unfolding it and velcroing the sides together. The velcro strips are about 1.5 inches wide and continuous to they do secure pretty well. The roof then velcros on top on top of the wall. Its very easy to assemble. When I looked at the finished version, I thought there is no way this fabric will stand up in the rain, so I did a test. I got an entire glass of water and poured it on the roof - the water beaded up and flowed off onto the bath towel I had. Not a single drop soaked in the roof and it stayed completely dry!! The zipper for the cover over the heating pad is sewed in the wrong direction, in order to line up with the hole for the cord, the zipper must be facing up not down, however, I covered it with a pillowcase anyway because my cat prefers smooth fabric surfaces to fuzzy anyway. Even though this little house is waterproof, I'm not sure I would want an electrical cord plugged in out in the rain, so I plan to keep this on my covered porch. My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat (we live in a rural area on large acreage) and sometimes he likes to stay outside to hunt at night. It will be nice for him to have a warm option so I don't have to wake up at 3am to let him inside when he is done.

I have 5-7 stray cats that I take care of so I ordered this house for the upcoming winter season. I keep all the houses on my porch where it's safer than a yard or flat ground. This one was a breeze to put together. It's mostly velcro and snaps. The heating pad comes in a way that you have to leave it upside down for the cord to match where the hole in the side of the house is. That or you can remove the pad and flip it and put it back inside the case. Easy peasy and not a big deal. It's a great house due to it having 2 openings if the cat were ever threatened and needed a 2nd exit. The flaps snap on in 3 areas so it can't be pulled down easily. The only issue I have with how it's made, is there is only 1 cut in the center of the flap that doesn't go up that high. It'll be a bit of a struggle for a cat to get inside. My solution was to make the cut a little higher and make an additional cut midway through that cut and the edge. Much easier now for the cat to get in and out. Other than that, it's great. I had it plugged in while working on the flaps and about 10 minutes later I stuck my hand inside and I could feel the warmth. It's pretty durable as well. The cats have been playing on it and jumping on top because it's something new and it hasn't collapsed or caved at all.

I couldn't be happier with the Weatherproof Heated Cat House! Initially purchased for my small dog who adores outdoor play, I was surprised when he seemed a bit apprehensive about it. However, the real revelation came when my indoor cat boldly claimed it as her own sanctuary! The insulated design and heated pad ensure a cozy haven during winter, and the weatherproof feature has stood up admirably to the elements. The sturdy construction and thoughtful design are evident in every detail. The indoor cat now reigns supreme, enjoying the warmth and security, while my dog, albeit hesitant at first, eventually embraced his new favorite spot. Granted, I'm in the south, so "cold" is relative and usually doesn't mean below freezing... It's great in our home for our pets to enjoy. We have also used it on our covered porch. This product exceeded my expectations and proved to be a versatile and beloved addition to our pet family.
