  • Better Beer
Size: 40 QT/10 GALLON
Love it! First batch of beer came out great. The filter helped keep the sediment to a minimum when decanting into the fermenter such that I skipped the the secondary fermentation process. The copper cooling coil dropped right in. No more brewing in a small kettle and then diluting later.

  • Fantastic quality, utility and some of the best customer service!
Size: 8 GALLON/ 32 QT
I'm an engineer and machinist so I tend to be pretty picky about any hardware I use. I was looking for a brew-pot to upgrade my set-up from partial brews to full-volume boils and saw this item. Looking at it initially, the price was right and it had all the features I wanted and more so I bit the bullet and purchased it. The box arrived and everything was well packaged. When I pulled the unit out of the box I could tell immediately that this was a well-built set. The craftsmanship and the gage of stainless used to construct each piece is perfectly rigid, stable, and well designed. The thermometer came out of the box perfectly calibrated. I did have a few small issues with the assembly though. One of the threaded adapters for the outlet had a rolled thread, it only had one mini wrench for assembly, and it was missing the threaded adapter to attach the bazooka screen to the outlet. I contacted the manufacturer's customer service and couldn't have been happier with the response. Their customer service department was phenomenal...timely, friendly, and understanding. They were very surprised to hear of the issues I had with the product and immediately sent our replacement items. Everything arrived today and the replacements are perfect. I really think I just got an unlucky package the first time around and wouldn't hesitate to purchase from this manufacturer again. I can't wait to use this for my next brew! ... show more

  • Good brew kettle!
Size: 40 QT/10 GALLON
Mine came dented like everyone elses, but that's of no importance to me. It's hardly noticeable and it's going to end up dinged and blackened by brew days anyhow. I have only used this as a brew kettle, not as a mash tun with the false bottom and bazooka. The false bottom leaves an uneven gap between it and the kettle. If I were using it as a mash tun, I would most definitely want to keep the bazooka attached as well because grains will make their way through that gap for sure. I've also seen a guy jam his bazooka with hop residue in one of these, so I'm a little wary of either of those accessories. The thermometer attaches and seals well with the silicone o-rings provided. Was excited to adjust the temperature and moved it a little for accuracy and then it stopped adjusting completely. Some connected between the adjustment screw and the thermometer must be cheap and broke off. It reads within a few degrees of being accurate and everyone uses a better handheld thermometer anyhow. The spigot assembly is of good quality. The instructions aren't very good as to the configuration of all the seals, but the seals are of good quality as well and I was able to get it sealed up without too much fiddling with it. Overall, great boil kettle. Light, yet sturdy and it was a breeze to clean with a little pbw. Looking forward to more brew days with this. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Size: 64 QT/16 GALLON
Kettle works well with no leaks after multiple brew sessions. Only complaint is the adjustable thermometer isn't very accurate. I correct it to read 70 like my electronic thermometer and it'll only read 200 when it's got a rolling boil or I correct it to 212 and it'll read 15 over when trying to cool to move to the fermenter. ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations
Size: 40 QT/10 GALLON
For the price I did not see anything come close to the features and quality. Some of the other reviews noted quality issues or damage during shipping. Mine arrived in perfect condition with all the accessories. All the fittings were perfectly machined and easily assembled. Someone complained that the volume marks were wrong, but I tested in 1 gallon increments and the marks were right on and dependable. I had to adjust the thermometer by 2 degrees and the adjustment was easy. I am new to home brewing and am going to start my 5th batch after Christmas, and with this upgraded kettle, will take a few steps out of the process, most notably the dreaded siphoning will go away in favor of the bottom drain valve. Absolutely great product and value for your moeny and shipping was one week and on time. Great purchase and purchasing experience! ... show more

  • "Cadillac" of brew kettles for a reasonable price
Size: 40 QT/10 GALLON
This is the "Cadillac" of brew kettles for a reasonable price. It was easy to assemble everything together. The kettle is sturdy and all the extras are fantastic. It is super convenient to have the thermometer on the front and the spigot is great to just open and fill my fermenting bucket. The first kettle i received had a large dent towards the bottom. I reached out to the manufacturer and they provided excellent support. I was able to exchange and the replacement i received was in pristine condition. Bottom line, I would recommend this kettle to anyone looking to get more serious about home brewing. ... show more

  • Leaks
Size: 40 QT/10 GALLON
Well I bought 2 of these pots about 3-4 months ago but haven’t got to use them till yesterday. When I received them they looked fine and were packed well. One of the pots had 2 pin hole leaks in the bottom side. You can’t really see them by just looking at them. Didn’t realize they were there till yesterday when I filled them with water. There’s no damage looks like it’s just a factory defect. To late to send back though so I emailed the company to see what they will do for me. Pending their response I will revise the review. Update: messaged gas one and had a reply the next business day. The day after that they had one on its way to me. Very pleased with the quality of the 1 good kettle I have already and with the speed of them taking care of this issue even though my return period was up. ... show more

  • Gallon markings are innacurate
Size: 40 QT/10 GALLON
This is a solidly built kettle which I will continue to use, but the markings are just plain wrong on mine. The photo is of 7 gallons (measured by weight - 26.5 kg of distilled water) in the kettle - reading as almost 7.25 on the markings. I use it for home brewing, and it had me tearing what little hair I have left out trying to figure out why I wasn’t ending up with as much beer as all the calculators said I should. ... show more
