I rebuilt the trans and transfer case on my classic using oem gaskets and hi tack, no leaks at all. If you have a newer car with steel/silicone or rubber gaskets you don’t need this product, it’s for old style paper and cork gaskets.

Dealing with gaskets that wont stay in place? Well, with this Spray-A-Gasket it will never move again! I used it for a replacement of my Transmission Oil Pan and my will be using it on my Oil Pan soon! Very sticky stuff! Spray it on, wait 5 mins and that surface will be sticky as crazy glue!     • New can design, same great product
Ive used this for years in my shop, 20+ years. It has its place and purpose, such as water pump gaskets to help hold it properly in place while you install the part. We also occasionally use this on certain types of head gasket for certian applications. Dont use on o ring gaskets or seals. Its kinda like a light weight 3M spray glue, apply to both sides, let it set for 30 seconds and stick the gasket on. Good to go. Does not substitute for Permatex black/orange rtv silicone.
