Could definitely still use a box spring if you want more height, but not required (we don’t use one) just a little lower to the ground but not horribly low! Bed doesn’t slope - it’s very comfortable. We bought this bed for our son, and it has been a fantastic purchase. These photos are from when we first put it together (with our dog "helping" out!), and it was a very straightforward assembly. We recently moved from our old apartment to our new home, and the bed transported perfectly. It’s very sturdy and went back together with zero issues. One thing to note: the bed comes with a large rolling drawer underneath that isn't attached to the frame. After a lot of use, one of the fabric handles on that drawer did pull off, but it doesn't hinder anything—we just pull it from the side now. You won't see the drawer in my second photo because we just moved and haven't had a need to slide it under the bed yet while we finish getting organized, but the bed looks amazing even without it! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality, durable bed for a teen. My boyfriend snapped the picture of my son and me putting it together, so it's the only picture I have of the bed assembly.

I’ve always been hesitant on buying big furniture online but this is actually surprisingly sturdy and easy to put together. We’ve had this bed frame for over three weeks now and i think the only downside is the drawers aren’t on a track. Other than that the plugs work and no wobbling

I bought the full-size version of this bed frame, and honestly—it looks just as good, if not better, than the pictures. It’s super sturdy and feels really well-built, not like one of those “don’t lean too hard or it’ll collapse” deals. Very impressed with clear assembly instructions, took me a about an hour to assemble, and yes I'm slow, but I did use power tools! Hex H4 and H5 bits on an electric driver or drill! The drawer at the foot of the bed? Eh, that’s the one weak spot. It’s a bit flimsy and doesn’t glide as smoothly as I’d like. But I didn’t buy the bed for the drawer—I bought it for sleep and style. And the charging port at the head of the bed? Game changer. Two outlets and two USB ports make it super convenient to charge my phone and anything else I need within reach at night. All in all, it’s a great piece that looks way more expensive than the price tag. Would definitely recommend—with just a gentle eye-roll at the drawer.
