Features

  • Small-Animal Defense Mesh:Welded wire fence the bottom and upper have different opening mesh sizes. The openings of fencing mesh get smaller toward the bottom to prevent rabbits, dogs, cats, chickens, foxes and other small animals from entering your farm, field or garden.
  • Hot-Dipped Galvanized & Rust-resistant:Goat fence constructed from heavy-gauge wire with a hot-dipped galvanized coating, providing a thicker, more uniform zinc layer that resists snow, fog, rain and moisture cattle fencing lasting far longer than standard wire fencing in harsh outdoor conditions.
  • Huge Coverage in a Single Roll:Fencing wire one roll spans a generous length and height to enclose a full livestock pen or large garden without repeated splicing, saving connectors and installation time while keeping per-foot costs lower.
  • Built to Stay Firm:Wire fence Constructed from thick welded wire that resists pushing, rubbing and chewing by cattle and goats, fence wire holds its shape over time without sagging or loosening like flimsy woven netting.
  • Multi-Purpose:Whether you're keeping cattle or goats in, protecting a vegetable garden from deer, or marking a clean property boundary, this one fence handles it all,a practical, versatile choice for ranchers and homeowners alike.

  • Classic field fence with descending size openings from top to bottom.
Item Reviewed: Cattle Fence 4ft x 164ft - Heavy Duty Galvanized Wire Fence & Chain Link Fence for Hog, Goat, Sheep & Deer; Ideal As Goat Fencing, Deer Fence, Yard Protection & Livestock Cattle Panel This is a pretty standard field fence. It says it is 12 gauge wire. I do use field fence for part of my pasture as I have 7 acres fenced and cross fenced. I use this for the back woods sections. It's easier to work with than the smaller no climb horse fence which has much smaller squares so that horses hooves can't go through if they kick and act like fools like horses tend to do near the fenceline. This fence is easier to work in those areas because it's more flexible. It's a decent fence that should last a number of years even in my harsh climate. Pretty good value for the product. ... show more

  • Decent
The fencing was pretty nice but I don’t think it would keep or prevent predators from digging under or chewing through it. It is nice and pretty high, but it’s just not perfect for long term use, especially for smaller live stock such as chickens and such.

  • Strong, durable cattle fencing that installs securely
This 5 ft x 160 ft heavy-duty cattle fencing is solid and sturdy once installed properly. The wire feels strong and holds its shape well after stretching and fastening. I was able to cut it using a battery-operated cut-off wheel without too much trouble, though it is heavy-duty material and takes the right tools. Overall, this is a reliable fencing option if you need a durable barrier for livestock or property. ... show more

  • Not what I would call heavy duty
I wouldn’t call this heavy-duty. I had no experience with this type of fencing before I chose it to create a dog run, and it’s not quite what I expected or hoped for. It’s only 2mm thick, and the way it’s woven together leaves a lot to be desired. The wire wants to slide, making the openings difficult to keep consistent. And it’s kind of difficult to stretch or keep straight without deforming. It takes a lot of posts to keep looking presentable and functional. It seems inexpensive, but you kind of get what you pay for with this one. ... show more

  • Strong, Sturdy, Galvanized Fencing That Works
I had 2 needs for fencing material like this and this roll was enough to satisfy both. I needed some for a dog pen and I wanted something for trellis material for part of my garden - this roll of fencing worked out to be perfect for both and i still have a little left over. The roll is pretty big and it's heavy because this fencing material isn't playing around. This stuff is tough and the galvanization should mean it'll last for many, many years. It's a great value on some truly tough fencing and I highly doubt you'd be sorry if you buy it. I'm more than happy with this. ... show more

  • Flimsy, but it works
We have a small homestead and are always in need of fencing. I actually got this to make a small pasture for my 6 roosters. Unfortunately, this is not suitable for chickens....they walk right through it. I remedied the issue by doubling the fence to make the spaces half the size along with adding a mesh fence along the lower 2' and that solved the problem. The fence is a made of a poor gauge quality wire. It is super flimsy, not to mention the vertical wires slide along the horizontal wires causing the spaces to get larger if an animal wants to push through. That said, the flimsy wire makes the fence super lightweight and incredibly easy to install. With that in mind, you will need quite a few T-posts unless you plan to figure out how to pull the fence taut without pulling the wire out of shape and ruining the fence. We opted for more T-posts to avoid slack. I probably would not purchase more of this fence. It is just too flimsy and not suitable for my animals. ... show more

  • Typical galvanized wire fencing
This is your typical galvanized wire fencing. It is the same gauge and sturdiness I have always seen and used. It is easy to form around post and does a good job at keeping small livestock in place.

  • 15 gauge Woven Wire Field Fencing
This galvanized woven field fencing worked out well for our needs. It's galvanized evenly coated and easy to use. The roll is fairly lightweight and easy to unroll as you work down a fence line. It's 15 gauge, so a little lighter than the 12-gauge I'm used to, but it still stands up straight and doesn't lean in between T-posts. We have barbed wire up to keep the cattle in, but our llamas can easily clear a barbed wire fence. So we put this woven wire fencing up on the outside of the barbed wire and attached it to the T-posts that are spaced 8 feet apart. We also attached it to the barbed wire fencing with stainless steel zip ties. This gave it a neat appearance. The field fencing has worked out well for us; it will keep goats, llamas, calves, and donkeys in and keep coyotes and deer out. This is 15 gauge, so although fine for more docile livestock, it's not strong enough to be used for hog or Cattle as a stand-alone fence without barbed wire or hog panels too. I would call this fencing a Medium Duty rather than the Heavy Duty it's advertised as, and I wouldn't use 15 gauge for a standalone fence for cattle as it's advertised. So I've reduced this by one star. ... show more
