  • Extremely impressed despite my initial doubts Extremely impressed despite my initial doubts
Color: White Body Grey Top
I uploaded a video along with thermal camera images showing this unit in action for anyone interested in real performance data. This unit keeps my server/3D printer room at a steady 70°F during the day, while the rest of my 990 sq ft apartment sits between 79-86°F with the main AC running (Texas heat is no joke). For context, I’m in an older 1980s apartment with essentially no wall insulation. I do have newer double-pane windows, which helped, but the included window exhaust kit still leaks more heat than expected. I plan to line both the panel kit and the ducting with mylar bubble insulation to reduce thermal loss further - Gorilla Tape alone wasn’t enough once I saw the thermal readings. Even on day one, this unit made a massive difference. Heat Load (Real-World Use Case) This isn’t a light-duty environment: • 3x Dell PowerEdge R730XD servers (fully populated with 22TB drives, dual CPUs, and 2 GPUs each) • Compressor-based beverage/wine cooler (adds ambient heat) • 10 continuously running filament 3D printers, 8 of which create additional heat from enclosed grow tents with active ventilation This setup generates a significant amount of heat. Combined with Texas spring/summer conditions, the room was previously borderline unusable - not ideal for equipment longevity or for someone like me spending 14-17 hours a day in this space. Performance and Noise After 4 days of continuous use: • Cooling performance is unchanged from day one • No increase in noise or mechanical issues As for noise - some complaints here are overblown. It’s no louder than a typical high-speed floor fan and quieter than several 5,000 BTU window units I’ve owned. In my setup, it’s actually quieter than the duct fans attached to my grow tents. In the video, you can hear the difference as I move closer to and farther from the unit. Airflow Optimization I’ve found the best results with: • Fan set to low • Vent flaps angled toward the ceiling fan • Ceiling fan on low, blowing downward This setup improves overall air circulation and stabilizes ambient temperature more effectively than running the AC fan on high. Setup and Build Quality • Arrived in excellent condition - no damage, clean packaging • Easy unboxing (cut straps, lift box, everything neatly wrapped) • Straightforward setup after letting it sit upright post-delivery I connected the drain hose to the middle port (next to the exhaust), routing it into a small 3-gallon bucket. It immediately started blowing ice-cold air once powered on and switched to "cool" mode. Drainage and Humidity Handling • The unit does evaporate most moisture internally • Drain output varies depending on indoor humidity (higher after rain, typical for older buildings) • Continuous drain setup prevents shutdowns due to a full reservoir In practice, I only need to empty the bucket occasionally - far more convenient than manual draining mid-operation. I'd recommend everyone using this to do the continuous drain method and get a bucket. Trust me. Remote and Usability • Remote works reliably and includes batteries • Build quality of the remote feels a bit cheap compared to the unit, but functionally it’s solid Noise Outside the Room I don’t hear it at all once I leave the room. While I didn’t buy it for sleeping areas, I would have no issue using this in a bedroom or living space - the white noise is smooth, consistent, and non-intrusive. No vibration issues either. Bonus: My Power/Utility Setup (For the Tech-Inclined) I run this unit entirely off a custom-built 38 kWh 48V (51.2V) LiFePO4 battery bank paired with two 120VAC hybrid solar inverters in split-phase (to achieve 240VAC. Each individual leg/inverter is 120VAC for my regular appliances). The system acts as a whole-home UPS. • I charge the batteries during 12 hours of free electricity daily (9pm-9am) • The AC unit runs 100% off battery power during paid hours (9am-9pm) • Net result: zero cost to run this unit so far The battery barely dips before switching back to grid charging automatically. I also run other compressor appliances (fridge, deep freezer, wine cooler) off this battery system during the day. Final Thoughts This unit simply performs. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do - and does it well. In a high-heat, high-load environment like mine, it transformed the room from unbearable to comfortable almost instantly. I’ll likely be buying another one for additional rooms when it goes on sale again. Life is good. ... show more

  • Easy to install and operate
Color: White Body Grey Top
The ac unit works well. It really keeps the room cold. It was easy to install. It is louder than what I thought it would be but it is not uncomfortably noisy. For the price point it is worth the expense.

  • Portable AC
Color: White Body Black Top
Works great for my bedroom. Keeps it nice and chilly. The noise level is normal, not any different than running a fan. Very easy to use and instal. You do have to be careful when moving the unit sometimes the airflow tube pops off, but it’s still manageable. Overall, it’s perfect!

  • BUYER BEWARE. RISKY PURCHASE
Color: White Body Black Top
Update!! Garbage! Does not keep even a small room cool. Hoses fall off, hose attachment to window tore and no air tight seal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Do not recommend this product. I took a big gamble and purchased two of these Air conditioning units. Quality is mediocre, instructions were poorly written and not enough information. Packaging poor. Shipping time was misleading. It took almost two weeks to receive when product Shipping description says two days. One of the air conditioning units did not work. It powered on with no airflow whatsoever And the controls did not work. I tried unplugging, replugging with no power. The packaging of these units was poor. They were stuffed in a box with Styrofoam that was so difficult to remove. I had to break the pieces of foam to be able to remove units which make it very difficult to repackage. The entire box was covered in several long pieces of plastic stripping, which obviously needed to be cut with scissors, which make it impossible to reapply when shipping back. I again had to use masking tape to reinforce the cardboard box and I was unable to place the styrofoam back into the box. Hopefully, u p s will pick it up tomorrow without issue The additional ac unit does work. But I have some additional complaints about the cheap quality of the hoses and attachments. The hoses that connect from the ac to the window attachment do not not stay secure. I would get one end of hose attached to the ac unit itself then when attaching the other end into window attachment both ends came off. I tried several times, screaming expletives while doing so. What I ended up having to do was use masking tape to secure attachment. In summary, these air conditioning units are not cheap, and for the amount of money they cost, quality should be much better. Buyer beware. ... show more

  • Perfect for Florida humidity and heat! Perfect for Florida humidity and heat!
Color: White Body Black Top
Works great! My bedroom is connected to a hallway two closets and a bathroom. About 300 sq. ft total. It easy to install ( we did cut slider using a circular saw bit on a drill), to fit window. Very high humidity and heat in Florida, so I opted to use drainage tube into a 5 gallon bucket. It drained about 3 gallons overnight. Directions easy to follow, I recommend this unit . Update. If you hook up the drainage tube , make sure you use the bottom port and the tube is not submerged when filling. I placed the unit on a small patio table with a tile to level. Read the directions, the tube must flow downward for gravity. It only empties on the dehumidifier mode. Works well so far . ... show more

  • Great product and affordable
Color: White Body Black Top
It was straight forward with the install. Had clear directions with ll parts needed. I did add some weather proof tape just incase. It cooled the room immediately. Haven’t had to drain it yet.

  • It is loud
Color: White Body Grey Top
It is fairly to install, but need something to be able to cut the metal piece to fit in the window. It is very loud and bulky. It does cool down but takes a while and I have it in a 12x13.5 room.

  • Not quiet. SEE UPDATE
Color: White Body Black Top
It's an ok item. Louder than I thought but it cools the room. Not sure about the self draining yet. Can't fully recommend to be honest. Take your time before you decide. **UPDATE** Self draining function works well and that is an important function when you will be away for the day or honestly just forget to empty the bucket. Also, customer service actually reads these reviews and reached out to me so that's pretty nice too that a company these days actually cares what their customers think about a product! I still have to keep it at 4 stars though for the reason in my title. I wouldn't know the difference if I didn't have a different discontinued brand that I purchased a couple years ago that you don't even know is on because it is so quiet. Trading off the noise for self drainage though...your call. It's not ridiculously loud, for me it's the difference at night when it kicks on I have to turn the TV volume up from 10 to 20 and then back down when it kicks off if that gives you some idea. ... show more
