Works great! Just make sure you have some form of vacuum pump and know which fittings to use. I was able to install it in a couple of hours. Has been working for several weeks now without a hitch. Will update if there's anything to add but as of now it's working phenomenally!

You have to read this... You're not gonna believe it. I bought another brand because it had an ERV (kinda gives away what brand it was..) and I have to say, the Garvee is cooling a room that is 3 times the size of the better brand, and its doing it a LOT better!! Its cooling a 30' x 40' room. Its rated to cool a room ONE THIRD this size. Its COLDER in the 3 times larger room THAT HAS ENTIRE SECTIONS OF THE WALL WHERE THERE IS ONLY CINDER BLOCK AND NO INSULATION, and the better brand seems to be struggling to keep up. Remember the better brand is in a room 1/3rd the size, and THAT room is fully insulated with 6" thick insulation! I keep the Garvee set a lot warmer too, and the better brand unit is set to 71 degrees. I kept my old unit (before it died) at 80 degrees, so Im not hard to please, but I swear the better unit is off temp wise. There's NO WAY its 71 degrees in here. Meanwhile I have NEVER FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET THIS GARVEE TO FARENHEIT, so its set at 26? 27? celsius, whatever the heck that is. MERICA! set our stuff to FARENHEIT! I will say the better brand unit seems to be made better, it was larger and heavier, and the line-set (copper tubes) were far thicker and larger tubes than the Garvee. ALSO the better brand is 220V, and the Garvee is 110V. EXPLAIN IT! I can't, and I'm a contractor! I just hope it lasts. Time will tell if it endures the reliable test or not. But for right now it seems to be a well made unit. But yeah, its performing FAR better than the one that literally cost me TWICE the price! Just buy the dang thing!! Also I set this thing up really easy in a couple hours. Course, I am a contractor (plumber) so I know electrical and plumbing, and HVAC is just plumbing with a different name. At its current price (under 500) its the bargain of the decade! I was worried because its between 2 buildings with only 3 feet of clearance between the two.. Was afraid it would overheat or not get enough air, but that too seems OK. BOTH of my units are under covered areas, and both on sturdy tables tall enough to prevent snowstorms from reaching them. Protect your investment! Put a roof over that puppy! (Just leave the walls open for air)

Install of this unit was not fun. I tightened the line set to the condenser and evaporator as the instructions said with a digital torque wrench. I vacuumed the system down and it would not hold a vacuum. Luckily I have a really good friend that is a HVAC technician. He connected nitrogen and found that all the fittings were bad. He re flared the copper lines and retightened them to the spec stated in the manual. The flairs failed again do to the copper being really bad. He was able to get them flared again and tightened them by feel and finally got them to seal. Being that the unit is a 12,000 btu it doesn't seem cool as good as my 12,000 btu window unit. Both are 120v units. Dont belive the people that say you can just bolt everything together and everything will work on the first try. I have a really strong mechanical background and this shouldnt have been this hard to make everything work. I hope the effort it took to get this working right pays off on our power bill. The absolute best part about this ac unit is how quite it is. The inside and outside units are wisper quite. I wish the fan moved more air on the evaporator even on turbo speed it lacks airflow. I will be installing another mini split in the future and it will not be from this company. I almost forgot. The degree readout is in Celsius and I cannot change it to Fahrenheit. Also trying to connect the app on my phone won't let it be setup unless you have 2.4g wifi. I have 5g.

Installed this unit on my food truck. It is literally an ice box when the grill is not on. Unit did need a vacuum on install and was the only portion I needed outside help with. Rest of the install was easy and straight forward with clear enough directions included to DIY.

Absolutely fantastic!! I would give it 10 stars if I could.. Do NOT listen to the reviews that say you need refrigerant!! You will need someone to pull a vacuum on the lines once installed, or buy a vacuum pump and do it yourself like I did.. But the unit comes pre-charged with refrigerant.. If you have it installed by an A/C company and they say it needs refrigerant, THEY ARE LYING and trying to charge you for something you don't need!! My daughter and I did it by ourselves!!! It did take us about 4 to 5 hours though..

So far so good! The machine gets very cold. I measured 45.5 degrees Fahrenheit coming out with inlet air being about 70 degrees- and outside being 90. The indoor and out door units are very quiet. The value for money here is incredible. Performance seems to be impressive so far. Installation wasn’t too bad but this was also my second install, you might want to graduate from YouTube university first or get a professional to install for you. If you DIY it’s not bad at all. I will update if anything goes wrong with the machine.
