I actually waited to review this because I wanted to use it in real heat first, and now that I have, I’m honestly impressed. This portable A/C unit is awesome. It cools my bedroom down fast, like “crawl into bed and immediately question your life choices for not buying this sooner” fast. My husband handled the install and it took him maybe 15 minutes. No scavenger hunt through the garage, no last minute hardware store trip, everything he needed was right in the box, which already puts it ahead of a lot of products. I love sleeping in a cold room, but I refuse to turn my entire house into a walk-in freezer just so I can be comfortable at night. This unit solves that perfectly. It gets my room down into the 60s which is the "sweet spot" for me, and I sleep like a rock. A very cozy, slightly chilled rock. My bedroom isn’t huge, and I appreciate that this doesn’t hog a ton of space. Even better, it actually cools the whole room instead of just blasting cold air in one direction like a glorified fan. Big difference. Noise-wise, yes you can hear it, but it’s not obnoxious at all. It’s more like a steady white noise, which honestly helps me sleep. If anything, it’s doing double duty as a sleep machine. Oh, and did I mention that it has a timer? yes, you can set it to turn off a little before you plan on waking up each morning so the room isn't so cold you don't want to get out of bed. Huge bonus!! Annnnnddd...if you get too cold or need to change the tempurature you can do it from your bed with the remote control. Yas!!! At the current price of $229.00, I think it’s a solid value. It feels well made and like it’s going to last with minimal fuss. If you’re trying to cool a medium-sized room without turning your entire house into Antarctica, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this. My only regret is not getting it sooner.

I am reviewing the Garvee 3-in-1 portable air conditioner. At the time of review, the item I am reviewing does not match the picture in this listing. See picture and video of model I am referring to. The design is great, smaller in diameter than most, a litter taller, sleek and stylish. I prefer the Louvers on this unit to the single top vent, it seems to direct more air flow. The reset button on the plug is dummy proof, very obvious which one is the reset which (unlike every other reset cord, keeps you guessing) is really nice! Found the instructions very confusing regarding the drainage. We live in a climate that is easily over 60% humidity in the summer months so this is something that needs to be figured out immediately. Page 24 of the instructions, the drainage section is very confusing. “ you will need a small pan to catch the water coming out of the water tank” “ screw off the drain cover, unplug the water stopper, so the water can flow into the tray and then block the drain hole as soon as possible before the tray is full if it cannot hold all the water in the unit to prevent water leakage and a wet floor”….. I have brand new hardwood flooring. This is very concerning to me and I’m almost afraid to drain the unit. Then….obviously, I want to go into continuous drain mode so I don’t have to use the tray method, but the instructions say not to drain and continuous mode on the cool setting? It’s an AC unit and we live in 60% or more humidity. It’s going to accumulate a lot of water quickly when I’m running my AC so how exactly am I supposed to run it in continuous mode when it’s not recommended for cool setting? I’m going to have to contact customer service to get some clarity on this issue. I love that it comes complete with everything you need to install it, the window installation kit and exhaust hose are included! Very nice unit, average price range for what you were getting. I’ll just have to get a little clarity and I will update this review.

This portable air conditioner is very easy to set up - unbox it, remove all of the blue packing tape, install the vent hose, place the hose in the window, and turn the unit on. It has three operating modesm, including cooling, fan, and dehumidifier. The temperature can be adjusted directly on the unit or with the included remote control, and the batteries are included. I purchased this unit to cool my bedroom at night because my older window air conditioner has seen better days. It produces a strong airflow that I can feel from across the room, and the air coming from the unit is noticeably cool. It has done an excellent job keeping my bedroom comfortable at night. One feature I love is that the unit shuts off once the desired room temperature is reached, which I hope helps keep some electricity bills under control. The only drawback I have found is that this is not a self-evaporating system. The unit includes a water reservoir that must be drained periodically. A drain indicator light on the front lights up when the unit needs to be drained, and a drain hose is included. Overall, this has been an effective and easy-to-use portable air conditioner with strong cooling performance and straightforward controls.

The model I received is slightly different than what is listed now, just for full transparency, but I don't think it really will make a difference in the review or what you might receive. They really only seem to be cosmetic differences. This little AC unit is just what we needed for my son's bedroom. The front of my house used to get shade from a tree, but that tree came down in a storm, so now my son's room gets really hot in the summer when the direct sun shines right onto that side of the house. We got this little unit to give his room an extra cooling oomph and it works great. His room isn't huge, so this little unit has more than enough power to freeze him out if necessary. Everything worked great. I was worried about the venting forcing me to keep the shades open more than I wanted, but the gap is pretty small so it's really not bad at all and the instructions really helped. Overall this little guy works great. The remote is nice, everything works as expected and it's made my boy's room much better. He's even stopped complaining about how hot it is and doesn't say anything about it being too loud.

This portable AC and dehumidifier works amazing. We have a smaller sized bedroom which gets very warm in spring and downright hot in the summer. We're in the deep south, and yesterday it was 100° outside. Took about 20 minutes to get it set up and installed, and it comes with everything you need. It started cooling the room immediately. The instructions aren't the clearest, but these types of things are relatively intuitive. It's also pretty quiet for a portable unit.

This portable AC has been great so far. It cools really well and makes a big difference, especially using it in my living room where I needed something that could handle a larger space. Hookup was easy and didn’t take long to get everything set up. Once it’s running, all the functions work like they should. The 3-in-1 setup is nice with the cooling, fan, and dehumidifier modes, and the different settings actually make a difference depending on what you need. The remote and timer are convenient, and sleep mode is a nice option too. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do and has been working really well.

I am very impressed with how quickly this unit can drop the temperature in my 450 sq. ft. bedroom. The installation was incredibly easy; the window kit and exhaust hose clicked right into place in about 20 minutes. I’m giving it 4 stars because the window kit panels didn't quite seal perfectly on my larger window, and I had to use some extra weather stripping and tape to keep it together. However, once sealed, the dehumidifier function works like a charm, and the remote makes it very convenient to adjust from across the room.

This is a sleek looking portable air conditioner, and instead looks more like a fancy high end house air purifier. Usually portable ACs are large and a bit clunky looking, but not this one. This one looks sharp. I was able to connect to this the window in my living room with no problems. This is the type of unit that uses a hose for ventilation. Not the swamp cooler type that don't use a hose. If anything this one takes the humidity out of the air with the built in dehumidifier, unlike a swap cooler that puts moisture into the air (better for very desert like climates). The unit comes with the hose and the panel you put in the window to prevent the hot air outside from coming inside. It's adjustable and I was able to get a good seamless fit. The panel they use also looks nicer than the old fashioned ones from years ago that had more of a beige accordion style to it. This one is much more modern. The AC cools my main level of my house well and keeps up with cooling even during the hottest part of the day. The remote is a nice feature so I can adjust the settings any time from anywhere in the room. So if we're sitting down watching TV, I don't have to even get up to adjust the settings, It's a good looking air conditioner with a lot of nice features and works great for cooling. I'm very happy with it.
