Been seeing this reel on amazon a lot lately and decided to buy it since it was cheap and was skeptical at first but got it and spooled it up and it is built a lot better then i expected it to be, it held up to a 54” red drum, big rays and skate and never skipped a beat, drag worked quite well, full metal body which i appreciate…it doesn’t wiggle or move when hooked up to decent size fish it looks good definitely worth the money it was smooth and drag. Will definitely be buying a couple more of these as long as they hold up ... show more

Casts line very easily and smooth Drag is really smooth when a fish is running Handle Arm is the perfect length Handle Knob is big ad the perfect shape Reel is most functional with a 9', 10' and 11' surf rod Cons: 8000 Spool Held close to 180 yards 30# braid Every cast with a 1 oz weight, it spooled out your line yanking on your spool knot. Out the box the reel looks amazing!!! Very smooth, not too heavy, construction doesn’t look cheap or flimsy. First impression was great, HOWEVER, once I started to put line on the reel, the reel began to come apart. Now keep in mind it was an easy fix which only required me to screw in a small screw back into place. But now feel a little worried as to what else might happen once I take the reel out onto the water?! For now my review is neutral since I haven’t tested it out till this weekend, but once I do, I will definitely update this review for sure!!!! But for now I have high hopes this reel doesn’t fail me. ... show more
