I usually use the brown bottle 8 second Elvive. I was looking for an alternative because the smell of the elvive sometimes makes me feel nauseous if i get a headache.     • Works amazing once
I bumped into this while searching for some kind of gloss for my hair. Decided to give it a try after seeing the reviews. I fell in love with this product immediately the first time I used it in the shower. I have very long hair, I applied it at the ends first. It immediately felt warm to the touch and immediately I could feel that my hair textured had turned very soft! I went on to apply it up to about 2 inches of my scalp, then massage it into my hair as directed, followed by rinsing out. My hair felt and look amazing afterward—sleek and shiny. I also liked the very fruity but fresh smell. However, it was downhill from there. The 2nd time I used it, the effect was not quite the same as the first time. I could immediately feel the hair texture was not as smooth as the first time. I ended up using quite a bit to try to recapture the same effect as the first use. It just didn’t turn out quite the same, and my hair felt drier after it was dry. The 3rd time I use it, I used clarifying shampoo first. I thought it might have been some built-up to cause the product not to work as great, and nope, it didn’t get better, it was actually worse. It still turned warm when applied, but my hair didn’t feel any softer. The worst was that my hair felt very dry after it was dried. I’ve used it three times, and I have about 1/3 of the bottle left—two more uses max. My conclusion is that it was fun to try it, but won’t buy it again since it gives no benefits to my hair. ... show more

I get pretty good results and don't need to spend a lot of time treating my hair. Nothing spectacular, but my hair is smoother and less frizzy. After shampooing, I drain off any excess water. I apply a generous amount (the warming action lets you know it's working) and massage for about 10 seconds. Rinse afterwards and apply conditioner as normal. Blow dry and style as usual. This product smells incredible, first off. I first used it on my 12 year old son’s thick, unruly hair. It made his hair soft, shiny and manageable. Looked incredible and holds the great scent for several days between washes. I then used it on my super fine hair and it was awful. My freshly washed hair appeared to be on it’s 5th day without a wash due to this product. It made my hair weighed down and appear very oily to the point even my clueless husband noticed.
