  • Good starter

Good for the money

  • Very easy to install
Style: Transducer
Easy to use but I can't find the keel offset like my Striker 4 but much easier on my old eyes. Update who could know that you have to be in the water to adjust the keel offset!

  • Good product but wrong type for Jet Skis
Style: Transducer
Did not have the map set for SW Florida. Hard to mount on a Jet Ski despite talking with people at several dealerships and technical support. Need a smaller version.

  • Great tool for the everyday fisherman !
Style: Transducer
This Garmin unit has been a big help to me, Every time I have gone out fishing ! Can see all of the bait fish in the water and can spot the big fish when I pass overhead ! It shows structure very clear and you can tell if it is brush or just logs ! The large fish leave a shadow and they are easy to spot ! ... show more

  • Flimsy power cord disconnects during a trip
Style: Transducer
We have 3 other Garmins for our cars and they are great. This marine unit must have been designed by a 14-year old kid. There are two connectors in the back, one for the power cord to a 12-volt battery, and another for the transducer. The connectors are small, flimsy, and they come lose. When connecting they must go in a certain way, but the marks are very hard to see. In poor light on a moving boat, well, good luck with that. My other complaint is the user guide. There is no printed version. You need to find it on the Internet. This is a shame on a $ 400 gadget. The worst part is that the user guide is not easy to understand for the inexperienced user. I got it for the waypoints and the depth gauge. If the transducer is inside on the bottom of my jon boat it will measure completely different depth when it is in the water. The difference could be 30-50 feet. When it is in the water the numbers jump around, deeper or less, so I have no confidence in the accuracy. For this kind of money they should provide a better product. I hope someone at Garmin reads this. ... show more
