  • Great HRM
Size: X-Small-Small
Got the HRM600 about 2 weeks ago and it has worked with no issues! The XS-S size which I got fit great allthough almost extended to max size (my shirt size is either a S or a M depending in brand) this for reference to anyone here. It is one of the more expensive HRM out there, but it does feels high quality, its plastic but having a rechargeable battery and a detachable pod is very convenient to anyone. The hrm has gotten consistent heart rate measurements with no weird reading in my uses, which are running and with cycling. ... show more

  • Collects the data. Comfortable to wear. Lightweight.
Size: M-XL
Connects easily. Long lasting battery. Records the data flawlessly. Comfortable to wear, you just don't know its there when you wear it. Lightweight. Good heart rate monitor. I use this for hitting the heavy bag so I don't have to put my watch through the shock. I do recommend this product.

  • This is what the HRM Pro / Pro Plus should’ve been
Size: M-XL
As a long time fan of Garmin (having had 7 watches and 3 different HRM in the past), this is my favorite HRM, but not surprisingly as it’s also the most expensive. Started out with the HRM Pro a few years ago and the added running metrics were much appreciated. Battery life was rated for 1 year but with my typical use, lasted around 3-4 months. The biggest con I had with that was the need to have a tiny screwdriver around to replace the battery. When I saw the Pro Plus have an easier to change battery compartment I was intrigued. My Pro had stopped working and Garmin was able to replace my Pro with the Plus. The Plus was working well since I got it, it was similar to the Pro, had an easier to change battery compartment, and was familiar. 8 month later let’s say the strap started to get worn. Frequent cleaning with soap and water only went so far before it started to get funky. The band started to get stiff. The clasp started to get loose. The HRM 600 with its rechargeable battery and modular design were what should’ve been in the past. Did I like paying so much for a strap? Nope. Also not a fan of not being able to get the new metrics since I don’t have the latest and newest generation of watches. But that one con aside, very pleased with the 600 and hopefully this is the last time I’ll have to buy a HRM. ... show more

  • Solid basic chest strap monitor
Size: M-XL
My first chest strap monitor. It seems to do really well with heart rate (zone measurements), respiration rate, and a little more. I use it for cycling, paddling, sleep, and gym workouts to be able to compare how I feel with some data. it doesn't have a default setting for paddling so I have to use 'other' and add notes. It is out of the way and really not noticeable while using it. There are a couple of odd things. the charging cable is male usb-c (good) to a custom connector to the Garmin. I find that it is easier to use a usb-c female to female connector to make recharging easier. the interface is a bit clunky; I'm not sure how it could be better, but could be more intuitive. I am not paired with a fitness watch device or cycling computer. ... show more

  • Good upgrade from HRM Pro -- works with Fenix 8 with latest software
Size: M-XL
I upgraded to this device from the HRM Pro partly because it provides a couple of interesting running metrics: avg step speed loss (cm/s) and avg step speed loss %. After about 4 runs, Garmin Connect and your Garmin Watch will show you a "running economy" score based on those metrics (maybe in combination with other factors, not sure). You will see the step speed loss data in Garmin Connect starting with your very first run with the HRM 600 -- it's just the running economy score that requires multiple runs. The other changes from the HRM Pro are the addition of a button and status LED, rechargeable battery; and the sensor module can now be detached from the strap. The button/LED are fine but not essential. I only needed the button for initial pairing. You can push the button to wake the sensor, but it seems to wake up automatically whenever I put it on while wearing my watch. You can also use the button to toggle the connection mode between secure and non-secure, which is not particularly relevant for me. The LED flashes when the sensor is active and has a different pattern depending on whether it's connected in secure or non-secure mode. The rechargeability and detachability of the sensor are much more useful updates. By the way, my watch is a Fenix 8, and it works flawlessly with the HRM 600. The running economy metrics recorded by the HRM 600 were only available with a couple of newer watches when it was first launched, but many watches are now fully compatible with the HRM600 with the most recent software updates. ... show more

  • Poor Replacement for the HRM Pro Plus
Size: X-Small-Small
This is the most uncomfortable HR monitors I've ever worn. I purchased a XS/SM based on the size chart, and even expanded to its largest size, the band still digs into my ribs. And then I discovered that Running Dynamics data from the HRM 600 isn't compatible with the Forerunner 165. All of the RD data I was getting was from my watch. It's a glorified HR monitor and nothing else. The HRM Pro Plus was awesome. The HRM 600 is overpriced and useless for me. I'm sending it back for a refund. ... show more

  • No me
Size: X-Small-Small
This chest strap works great for me. Heart rate readings are very accurate, even during intense workouts like running and OCR, where wrist-based sensors can be unreliable. It connects quickly with Garmin devices, is comfortable to wear, and stays in place throughout the workout. Since using it, my heart rate data has been much more reliable. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Garmin does it again
Size: M-XL
I purchased this as an upgrade to my previous Garmin HRM. I like the rechargeable battery feature. It was very easy to pair to my Garmin watch. The data is very accurate. Overall, I am very pleased with this HRM. I have used this HRM on over 100 runs and would definitely recommend.
