  • Works well, and "Premium" is unnecessary.
Color: Black Case w/ Black Band Style: Tracker
I've had this a year now, and its very useful. While calories burned is known to be inaccurate, that's true for other fitness trackers too, everything else works great. This also has the Smart Wake alarm, that other trackers lack, and you really will feel better waking up from light sleep. This provides plenty of useful data, without the "Premium" subscription. ... show more

  • Excellent Upgrade from Charge 4.
Color: Black Case w/ Black Band Style: Tracker
Great new fitbit 6. I’ve had most generations, 2, 3, 4, as well as early clip on variant. The wrist band is a little weird, not as easy to manipulate but very comfortable. Short band could be a little longer but works on the last hole, largest adjustment. The longer band is much longer. I think I can get used to it, but that would be my only complaints so far. Set up was easy with existing app. Replacing my Charge 4, have had 3 of those, each lasted about 3 years before cracked screens or broken strap mounts. ... show more

  • Buggy. Really really BUGGY
Color: Black Case w/ Black Band Style: Tracker
I bought this to track my cardio on the spin bike at the gym. I'm on a long-term weight loss adventure and when you are counting calories and fighting for every pound accuracy matters so I thought I'd splurge and buy the name brand product. I'd previously had the Amaze-FIT and they were adequate except the battery dies after about a year and you have to replace it. The Charge6 has lots more bells and whistles and I was making some progress on my goals, I thought I'd treat myself. The first one was a lemon; the battery ran out before the day was over. I returned it, ordered a new one. It's really buggy. --The good: there are lots of extra bells and whistles, it tracks a lot of extra things like sleep and fitness readiness. As a pedometer it was accurate for me and it did a good job of tracking heartrate and exertion on the spin bike. --The not good: first, the ridiculous--the band attachment is fickle. I finally got annoyed with the smell of the plastic band and ordered an after-market band from a different brand. Didn't stay on so I put the old one back on and IT doesn't stay on. Luckily I lost enough weight I can use the smaller plastic band that came with the watch originally. Fingers crossed, that seems to be working. --THe CHARGING MAGNET. Good grief it's FRUSTRATING! It doesn't just snap and go; tonight I had to fiddle with it for about 3 minutes to get a decent connection. It's been more than once I've grabbed it and headed for the gym only to discover the dang thing didn't charge. It SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD! --If you have an older Android? Don't bother until you get an upgrade. It'll connect, but you'll burn another 2000 calories in frustration and animated swearing as you try to get your Charge, your phone and your headphones to all chat at the same time (hint: if you DO run in to this, you have to restart your phone AND your watch...just go for that, all the other fixes are wishful thinking). It's really frustrating. --It keeps wanting to connect to Google and give Google all your vital statistics. Girls, it tracks your monthlies too and if you live on a state that's taken interest in your fertility? I'd be nervous. --It supposedly tracks your stress levels; it tracks something, but it isn't your stress levels. It consistently tells me I'm having a chill day when in reality I'm one lazy wisecrack away from wanting to throttle strangers. I have no idea what it's measuring, but it's definitely not stress levels. There are things I really love about the thing: I think it's a great cheerleader when I have a really good workout. I like the little high-fives it gives me as I progress down the weight scale. But it's the things that should be no-brainers that it fails at and because this is the brand leader in fitness gadgets, it's extra disappointing that it doesn't live up to expectations. UPDATE: after 3 months of use, the whole thing crapped out. The screen suddenly ended up covered in lines and is now completely unreadable. And of course, there's no warranty. I'm so frustrated. I'm going back to the cheap knock-off versions. THEY at least last for a YEAR. Absolutely disgusted. ... show more

  • It's okay
Color: Black Case w/ Black Band Style: Tracker
I think this is my third Fitbit in the past decade. I absolutely didn't want a giant smartwatch and finally needed to replace my old Fitbit Alta HR (from 2017). After looking at a lot of reviews, I chose the Charge 6 for battery life and size overall. The Fitbit itself is great. The data on walking, heart rate, sleeping, etc is just fine and seems to be collected correctly. The battery life is also excellent. I can go about a week between charges, which is fantastic. I love that I can see more than 5 letters in a text message now. What's not so great is the band/latch hardware - the part that attaches the band to the Fitbit body. It's weak, glitchy, and the slightest pressure against the Fitbit or band presses the 'latch' into my skin and the whole thing falls off. I doubt that a new band will fix this because the latch is part of the Fitbit body. I've nearly lost the whole Fitbit in airport security, getting out of a rideshare, and just walking down the street. It's only been three months since I bought the Charge 6, so I don't have a lot of faith that this will last commensurate for the value paid. I am still a fan overall of the Fitbit experience, so I hope I'm wrong. I may try a new band to see if that helps. ... show more

  • Switching from Garmin. glad I did
Color: Black Case w/ Black Band Style: Tracker
Switching easily with low learning curve. Sorry I waited so long. Pros: Steps, HR and sleep way better monitoring! Like night and DAY better than what I've dealt with for 4 yrs! I knew I was working harder and harder but prior expensive watch was NOT picking up and I was exhausting myself. Love the graphs and connects to my food app in a blink. Came with 2 bands which was awesome as I'm tiny boned wrist. Iffy stuff but worth it: Cost good as you have to have a subscription of some type. At the sales price I could afford it. Can't seem to figure out how to set stride length or other custom stuff as all of that is on consulmer utubes it looks like. Sorta odd but whatever. It will just have to wait for now. Also noticed it's burning thru my phone battery, super fast so had to stop backgrounds. Need to be aware of the data they collect - sorta spooky but amendable. Con's: None for the device itself reallly so far. It did count my HR at 170 at 2.5 miles per hour the 1st day and I had to stop and check it with 2 other medical devices to be sure I was okay....but calmed the hell down after that and hasn't done it again. Only complaint:The app is crap on the phone IMHO but I am an experienced in fitness athlete. There is a huge amount of "work outs for you" bunk on there. I haven't found one in the last week that doesn't make me want to hurl. All are led by these hyperactive fake young (like super young) folks. Fitbit! Shame on you - that group doesn't have the money OTHER folks have AND The population trends for fitness are NOT in the 20 something ranges long term. Wake up fitbit. Nobody wants to see a perky stick person working out while they try to get fit. if they quite working out you won't be selling replacements now will you? ... show more
