I picked up the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) Wayfarer mainly for hands-free recording and the AI features, and overall it’s a really cool piece of wearable tech. The design looks just like normal Ray-Bans, so they don’t feel gimmicky or overly “techy” when wearing them in public. The camera quality is surprisingly good for glasses. Video and photos come out clear, and it’s incredibly convenient being able to record exactly what you’re seeing without pulling out your phone. Audio capture is also solid, and the open-ear speakers work well for calls and quick media playback. Battery life has been noticeably improved compared to earlier smart glasses, and they’ve been reliable during regular use. Pairing and app integration were straightforward, and once set up, everything just works in the background. My only real disappointment is that there’s no integrated screen or display. For a device that can see what you see and has AI capabilities, having some kind of built-in visual feedback would have made the experience even more powerful. That said, as a recording device and AI-assisted wearable, these are genuinely impressive. If you want discreet, hands-free video capture in a stylish form factor, the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer is a very unique and well-executed smart device.

I was incredibly skeptical about these glasses, but after real world testing for 6 months, they are legit. The high quality camera give you hands free video and pictures (no need to waste time pulling out a phone and potential missing a moment) and they double as earbuds, letting you listen to music and still having your ears open for conversation. These glasses also integrate AI, so no more google searching. Just say “hey meta” and any question goes answered. My favorite and most used is “hey meta, what time is it?” Lol

A Genuine Game-Changer for Manufacturing Management These glasses have been nothing short of life-altering for my career. As a production manager overseeing a manufacturing facility, documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) has always been a significant hurdle. My primary goal in purchasing these was to record high-quality POV video of processes, which I can then feed into AI tools to generate written SOPs. This isn’t just a win for my productivity; it’s a win for my crew, as it finally provides them with the clear documentation they need to succeed, relieving me of the stress that comes with inconsistent training materials. **Design & Comfort** I initially opted for the larger frame, but the height was a bit much aesthetically for my face. The standard size, however, is excellent. I have a history of headaches from standard eyewear after long days, but these remain comfortable for extended wear. They are impressively discreet—I had multiple people compliment them on day one without ever realizing they were smart glasses. They are convincing enough to pass as normal eyewear to the untrained eye. **Performance & Battery** * **Video & Audio:** The video quality is surprisingly clear, and the microphone performance is exceptional. I’ve taken several calls while wearing them, and the recipients couldn’t tell the difference between these and my phone’s handset. The audio is solid—provided you keep your expectations realistic regarding the low end. The bass is sufficient for daily listening. * **Battery:** This is the one area that requires adjustment. You’ll get about 30+ minutes of continuous recording, which drains the battery quickly. However, the charging speed via the included case is remarkably fast, which helps mitigate the downtime. **The "Unexpected" Features** While I bought these for SOP documentation, the note-taking and translator features have been revelations. On the production floor, I’m constantly pulled in four different directions. When I need to track material requests or quick process changes on the fly, these allow me to capture information immediately so nothing slips through the cracks. It has turned a single-use tool into an all-day essential. **Verdict** I am currently investigating sourcing safety-rated lenses to integrate these into my daily shop-floor workflow. I must say I imagined the frame to be a bit more elegant... although it's the classic design, the material feels a bit cheaper or perhaps lighter, with sharp edges. But overall they're beautiful, the camera works perfectly and the audio is very good... for calls as well as listening to music. They're slightly big on me, but I suppose it's a universal size. They include a case, although the case doesn't come with a charging cable for the glasses, and even though the company assumes they have a USB-C connector, for that price I think they should include the charging cable... but overall the product has worked very well for me. At night the video quality is clearly low, but with extra light, the images turn out well.

I definitely have to say, trying to get the smart glasses to do anything, even the most basic functions for your phone is the most frustrating thing I’ve ever done. I find myself making up new cuss words because of how annoying that it gets. Have the stuff that they say you can do on the glasses is not available. I’ve been trying to stream Instagram for a week and it keeps giving me different answers whether I can or can’t. But every time I told it to through the glasses, it definitely said that it couldn’t do it. I tried to text all the time, and I said somebody’s name in the text, and it tries to change it like I wanna text that other person instead and delete all the progress I’ve made in the text so far. Also, if you try to tell it that it made a mistake, it says that you need to tell it to your glasses, even though the AI is talking through my glasses. So it goes to an endless loop of not helping. And the live translation, make me wanna break the glasses. They have to be really close to you and speaking very loud and clear for it to pick up anything, and even then, if they start to talk too quickly, which is how most people speak in Spanish, then it can’t do it either. This is by far the worst AI that I’ve worked with. Not to mention I feel like the glasses have no protective coat on the glass at all, because it picks up anything, too much breath, adjusting the glasses and it’s already blurred so much you can’t see. You would think that they would at least have quality for how much they cost. And lastly, when it’s talking, it cuts out quite frequently, just during parts of a word, but it’s enough to where you can’t understand what it was trying to tell you, and if it picks up any background noise while it’s telling you what the text was that came in, or what’s happening, then it cuts out because it thinks you’re talking to it. It has no detection whether it’s you talking or not. Also somebody’s calling you would think it would ring in the glasses or tell you, I don’t know whether it’s just mine, but it has not let me know that there was a call coming in a single time.

Honestly the glasses are great, i will say they do NOT replace headphones though obviously there not going to be ideal in loud areas because the sound is around your ears but i would say the sound is perfect could be a bit louder but non the less it’s good volume for being out and about, Quality i don’t have a issue with i just 3k 30 fps but the 1080p 60 fps is just as good 3 minute limit on videos but i don’t regret buying the glasses a bit. As for battery it last me about 6 hours listening to music id say but it definitely last a good amount of time and charges quick
