  • Great Product from Garmin
Style: Edge 540
I've been using the Garmin Edge 540 for a few weeks now, and overall, it's an impressive upgrade from my older cycling computer. The build quality is solid, and the device feels premium. The display is crisp and easy to read, even in bright sunlight, and the battery life has been excellent—lasting several long rides without issue. What I really like is the updated interface and button-only control. While some might miss the touchscreen, I find the physical buttons more reliable, especially when wearing gloves or riding in the rain. The ClimbPro feature and the improved navigation with multi-band GPS are huge pluses, offering more accurate data and better route guidance. The integration with Garmin Connect and other third-party platforms works well, and syncing is fast and reliable. I also appreciate the training and performance metrics, which help me stay on track with my fitness goals. My only real gripe is the initial setup process—it felt a bit clunky and took longer than expected to get everything dialed in. Also, for the price, I would have liked to see a mount with more versatility included in the box. Still, the Edge 540 is a powerful tool for serious cyclists and definitely worth considering. Just be ready for a small learning curve. ... show more

Great garmin product. Perfect size for on top of top cap. Only downfall is it isn’t touchscreen. If you need touchscreen jump up to 840 series

  • Great at what it does, but not a good GPS for route planning
Style: Edge 540
If you want a fitness watch for your bike this is for you it does that very well. I can’t knock the product in that regard it is an excellent fitness tracker. But if all you want is a gps to tell you how to get from point a to point b on rail trails and other off road route planning it is not very good. Great at tracking where you have been and all off the fitness tracking I formation. My cell phone and google maps still is still significantly faster, and easier to use than this particular product for route planning. ... show more
