Color: Trail Edition Size: Helmet Mount Pattern Name: Headlight
Wonderful bright light. Doesn’t last more than an hour on high but it’s has ajustable brightness gets really hot though when on for a long ride. But Love it regardless awesome light.

  • buena calidad, Cumplió con mis expectativas
Color: UT 800 Smart Size: Bike Mount Pattern Name: Headlight

  • Good - for the right mount
Color: UT 800 Smart Size: Bike Mount Pattern Name: Headlight
I have an out front mount from Zipp, and this doesn't work easily with it bc there's no "quick release" with it... ended up returning so i could get something that would be easier to remove and charge. (If you are using the included mount, it is easier to deal with)

  • Great Concept... Like Night Rider Lumina 1100 Boost with gauges more
Color: UT 800 Smart Size: Bike Mount Pattern Name: Headlight
While I was initially impressed by videos showing ut800, after actually receiving it I'm less so... I guess that's why there are so few reviews for this Garmin product... I recently purchased Garmin Edge 1000 Bundle and I'm getting all the accessories : a. Garmin Silicon Case for Edge 1000 b. Garmin UT800 Front light c. Garmin Viara Radar Rear light d. Garmin Remote I just received the UT800 Smart Light last night and when I first read about it and watched Youtube videos about it, it seemed like really cool device, plus it saves space on handle bars since it could be mounted below Edge 1000 on the Out-Front Mount... That said, I'm not that impressed any more with this light as I also ordered Night Rider Lumina 1100 OLED Boost... Both lights cost same but Nite Rider is lot more powerful ( brighter 1100 vs 800 ), charging is easier and faster. The Nite Rider can more easily be detached and carried in one's hand to use as powerful flash light, emergency light, while walking, etc... Nite Rider seems to stand behind and support this product better than Garmin supports theirs... Night Rider has lifetime on the hardware, case, buttons, lens, all mechanical and battery is expected to last between 3 to 5 years... I'd like to keep them both and that's lot of powerful front lighten but expense $150 x 2... I'll test the UT800 tonight and if it doesn't impress and live up to Garmin and other youtube videos, it's going to be returned... Plus I think the network connection to the Edge 1000 drains addition battery... I have following items connecting to Edge 1000: a. heart monitor b. speed sensor c. cadence sensor d. UT800 light e. Viara Radar light Don't get me wrong, the UT800 looks good, but it's not something you'd hold in your hand as it gets really hot quick. I have ut800 on my smartphone 2.1A charger and it still takes 4hrs plus... Nite Ride which has 1100 has something called intellicharge built into the light that allows it to charge faster when it detects a charger than can output more amperage... Like Garmin, but I'm leaning towards Nite Rider... May keep both, but seems like waste since I don't ride much in evening, but that could change if I light up whole pathway or road... Another reason I think I'm leaning towards Nite Rider is they have excellent product support... I was able to easily find their customer support number and reach someone instantly and not only did they satisfactorily answer all my questions their attitude, demeanor and words basically assured me that if I had any issues with their newest light, they'd take care of me... I never once felt they were trying to hide behind warranty and try to offer less or minimal service... Throughout the conversation and I called them three times back to back... First time bad connection / they couldn't hear me in my cell phone. Second time I asked tons of questions about new light and also what if warranty issue. Third time I called them back to thank them for the excellent and superb customer service... Service was so awesome it made me feel they'd be there for me... Though this review is for the ut800, seems I'm congratulating and promoting Nite Rider more... So for those thinking and considering getting the UT800 take look at Nite Rider Lumina 1000 OLED Boost ( one with display on top )... There's nothing wrong with UT800, I just feel for money, Nite Riders 1100 equivalent which just came out month or so ago seems like better purchase... Garmin ut800 below Edge 1000 on same mount may look better than nite Rider on handle bars, but it provides less light... ... show more

  • Good Light, Typical Garmin
Color: UT 800 Smart Size: Bike Mount Pattern Name: Headlight
I needed a replacement front "Blinky" that had enough lumens to be useful for getting home on a late return from a ride as the days get shorter. This seemed like a good integration with my Garmin 1040 (which is excellent). The mounting system with the Garmin mount is good. The 1040 found the light and the settings and control seem to be working fine after a couple software/firmware updates. The "Hi-Vis" mode is a bit too bright in my view, ok on the road but too bright for bikeways. The battery life in "Auto" for constant on is less than what I expected and overall less than advertised. Lumens are adequate to get you home but I have much better lights (Exposure Strada) for actual planned riding during darkness. Can never quite tell if it's charging or completely shut off as the blue "connection" indicator seems to be looking for the head unit. Battery level on the 1040 shows the light as fully charged but based on past experiences with Garmin I'm not sure I trust it yet. OK so far, just a bit ambivalent about value for money and although Garmin have come a LONG way with their software and UI it frequently feels like "not quite ready for prime time" with a lot of their stuff. ... show more

  • Great headlight for Garmin Edge owners
Color: UT 800 Smart Size: Bike Mount Pattern Name: Headlight
I love the integration with my Edge 530 and that I don't have to remember to turn on/off my headlight. I also like the GoPro-style mount, which makes it pretty versatile. I recommend.
