No, this is not a top notch plush carpet but it still looks very nice ,is perfect for what I was needing and for the price can't be beat. Also, there is no padding with this rug. If that is important to you, you could always order one for underneath the rug. The color is much nicer than I expected. The tag on the rug referred to the color as pecan. A very nice neutral color not too dark and not too light. Has a rubber backing that seems pretty secure with no slipping noted so far. Purchased this to replace a berber rug I had in my living room. The color is a sandy colored tan and has a nice design in it. For $139 I cannot complain. It is not a super high quality rug, but it will last quite some time. I didn't want to spend a lot on a rug because this is only being used to stage our house for sale. I think this rug would work well outside or in a family room as well. It has a rubber backing, so it doesn't slip around. If you want it softer, you will need to buy some carpet padding to put underneath. It works well for the purpose I need it for. I have a dog and an 18 month old and has held up just fine so far. The big "PLUS" on this rug...I got a 9 x 12 rug delivered to my house. I didn't have to go anywhere to buy it! ... show more

I ordered a 5x7 area rug, it's soft and will serve the purpose of having the floor covered in a spare room. Pros: Value, shipping time, softness of rug Cons: It was shipped folded like a blanket in a box, rather than a roll. There are significant creases in the rug and I placed heavy boxes on the creases to try and flatten it out, which only helped somewhat. I was considering getting one of these rugs for my living room and am glad that I chose another product that was shipped as a roll - because this wouldn't cut it in a high traffic area with the uneven surface caused from the creases. ... show more

I searched for hours on the internet looking for a nice, black, yet cheap rug to cover most of the hardwood floors in my room. I did not feel like spending around $200 or more for an area rug that would be large enough to cover my floor. When I stumbled upon this, I was a bit weary of how thin the rug might be, however, upon arrival and spreading the rug out, I was not disappointed. The rug is not thick and full(in terms of carpet fibers) as a regular carpet that would be installed, however, the rug is easy to clean and soft enough to cushion my feet. After having the rug for a few months(almost 4),where the rug has endured constant walking, dog playing, and even exercising, it seems to be holding up just fine.
