No, this is not a top notch plush carpet but it still looks very nice ,is perfect for what I was needing and for the price can't be beat. Also, there is no padding with this rug. If that is important to you, you could always order one for underneath the rug. The color is much nicer than I expected. The tag on the rug referred to the color as pecan. A very nice neutral color not too dark and not too light. Has a rubber backing that seems pretty secure with no slipping noted so far. I got this rug in Seafoam. At first sight, I truly liked it but I saw it had a long wrinkle from top to bottom and I thought it’d go away with time. NOPE. I’ve had this for a few months now and I’m so unhappy with this. No matter how much I flatten it, it crinkles again and obviously when you walk over it with time. It just sticks out too much. I’m happy with this runner. I ordered the 8’ and it covers the area between sink and stove that I wanted it for. Yes, it’s thin…but not too thin. I didn’t want anything thick since this is a high foot traffic area and I didn’t want any kind of tripping hazard. It’s soft. The green color is true to the photos. The non-slip backing is PERFECT. It does not shift or naive at all, despite being walked on all day long. Also, some of the thinner runners that I’ve tried were so thin that, even in the lowest setting, my vacuum sucked them right up which would in turn cause the vacuum to stop. Glad I got it. Folds came out by themselves in about 3 hours with me doing nothing! Not sheepskin soft, but definitely much softer than my textured tile floors on my bare feet & the animals are appreciating this new lounge to stretch out on. I'd buy again.
