  • It's cool
Style: E5S
I was having some things go missing so I scooped this thing up. It detects movement about 100 feet away. The day time pictures are excellent quality. Night vision is alright as well, I have no complaints. Found out it was the neighbor helping them selves to my things. This little camera is worth the money. With the ice storm we were having had to play with the RC Car inside. used the trail cam to catch a couple action shots. The video I just haphazardly strapped it to the tree out front to catch a quick video. Got to say it does have a nice image in the video. 14 month update. It quit working about 6 months ago. Wouldn't read the card. I put it away. I found it the other day. Put a different card in it. Set it up out by my working cats house. It took one picture and that was it. Not reading the card. I switched memory cards again. This time with my card from my work camera so I know it it's a good one. Put it in formatted it. One picture that's it. Card is corrupt. It isn't the cards. The last one I used is top quality this trail cam fried it. I would not recommend this thing to anyone. There are much better ones for the same price. ... show more

  • Bought two!
Style: X50
I bought one of these and it worked so good at such an affordable price I bought another! Great high quality pictures and video, though quality is diminished most of the time over cellular. You can request high def pics or videos over cellular but that costs more. You can always download the chips and get high quality that way too. The app is easy to use and give very quick timely notifications. I am very happy with these cameras! ... show more

  • Better than the 4K Trail Camera
Style: E5S
I have 2 trail cameras (GardePro E5 & E5S) that have the larger ADAPTER SLOT, and 2 that have the Mini slot. The larger ADAPTER SLOT makes it so much easier to remove and to put back in the Mini SD cards. The rest of the trail camera's functions work well, so far. The "Time Format" on the Dargahou 4K Trail Camera only works on 24Hour. You can set it on 12Hour but it does not follow the "Work Time" settings. This 4K trail camera has the Mini SD cards that are very difficult to remove and to put back in. The GardePro E5 & E5S have the larger ADAPTER SLOT. Also, the Dargahou 4K Trail Camera company at TrailCamera123@outlook.com said I would receive a $40 Amazon Gift Card in 2-3 business days for writing a review, which hasn't happened yet! My Amazon GardePro E5 (July 2021, 24MP, 1296P) & GardePro E5S (June 2023, 32MP, 1296P) Trail Cameras both work just fine on all functions. I am sending the Dargahou 4K Trail Camera back! And what is "Fill Light Distance" and "Motion Filter" on this one? I also put the GardePro E5S and this Dargahou 4K Trail Camera set at exactly the same (1 photo, a 10 second video) settings, together on a table outside from 6PM to 10AM to see if they both pick up the same photos and videos. The GardePro E5S took 172 JPG and 172 MP4 videos. The Dargahou 4K Trail Camera took 27 JPG and 27 MP4 videos. The GardePro E5S took night photos of deer and people while the Dargahou 4K Trail Camera took NO Night photos at all! I also have the CamPark T45 Trail Camera which is the oldest one (Feb. 2020, 14MP, 1080P) but still works great on all functions! Buy the GardePro! ... show more

  • Low quality control, cheap hardware, and poor support.
Style: X50
TLDR: You're playing the cheap-stuff lottery when you buy one of these. You may get one that works, you may get one that does not. Don't get this product if consistency and reliability matters. Good: - Cheap - Relatively Compact - Seems to come with a solid antenna Bad: - Poor QC - SIM Locked - You HAVE to buy their service. - Poor Privacy - You HAVE to send all of your photos through their servers. That's sketchy, and I don't like it. Don't use this for stuff you care about. Upon unboxing it was clear to me that this falls into the category of "cheaply made electronics". After all, what can you expect for a hundred bucks? The main issue I had started when I tried to "activate" the camera. First, you have to download their poorly-made third-party app and hope that there's nothing nasty hidden in the software. Next, you go through a somewhat clunky "activation" process that is supposed to activate service on the SIM that is pre-installed. This is where things failed for me. After five hours went by, the app on my phone was still reporting "activating". I used their support site to try to troubleshoot via chat, and even after sending several screenshots, giving them all of the serial numbers for the modem and SIM, etc, they still asked me if I had a SIM installed (when it very clearly was). I am not impressed. Update: I have worked with their support for two weeks to resolve issues I had with two consecutive cameras I ordered. It took them a week and a half to suggest changing the APN to a different one, and it never felt like there was much of a sense of urgency on their part to resolve the issue. If you do get it working, be prepared to spend much of your "free" picture allotment just verifying that the equipment works. Overall the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I really cannot recommend others try this product. ... show more

  • Works better than the big names
Style: X50
10/10. Basic plan is 7 bucks a month. The batteries lasted all season plus some. You can only get lower resolution pictures but you have the option to buy the HD versions of them if you really want them for some reason.

  • Pics good, sending pics not so much
Style: X50
This would work great if it actually sent the photos to the phone, it isn't super user friendly. Pictures are a great quality though.

  • Good Cam, Poor App, No Customer Service
Style: X50
I bought GardePro X50 cell cam. The camera is a quality camera with good features. The app is easy to work with and the data plans are reasonable. However, there is a major problem if you have more than one camera on an app account. The 2nd camera will not upload HD videos to the server so it can be viewed in the app. I contacted Garde for help. However, they never answered my requests. Customer Service will respond with a ticket number logging your request. They never respond. So, now you can’t get your HD video unless you physically pull the SD card. Garde is made and the data is managed by a Chinese company called Zopudt. They don’t care about their customers. I do not recommend this camera because it is not supported by its manufacturer. ... show more
