The innovative GARDENA Battery Powered swivel Wall-Mounted Hose Box 35 roll-up automatic Li makes irrigation even more convenient: thanks to the powerful 18 Volt Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The Hose Box does the cranking for you – conveniently, with the press of a button. The practical Hose Box is mounted to the wall and can be swiveled by 180°. The hose can be fully withdrawn without effort and stopped at any length. The quality hose with ½'' hose diameter ensures a high water flow and optimal sprinkler operation. The powerful, reliable lithium-ion rechargeable battery ensures that the hose rolls up easily, reliably and evenly with 1.5m/sec at the press of a button. The integrated hose guide prevents twisting and tangling of the hose. Makes watering and using the hose so much more convenient. My wife has shoulder problems and this makes watering and the like easy on her. After 6 years........if it starts to stick, use powdered graphite is my suggestion, it worked for me. I have the 115 footer. Yes, it will reel it up. Sometimes it may get a circular kink in the hose, just stop and unkink it and hit the button again. The battery still works fine after 6 years for us. I wish it had a 3/4" hose, as half inch sometimes isn't enough. Quality product in my opinion. Mine wasn't made in China. I don't know where it is made today. For rolling up, it helps a lot if the hose is in linear lineup with the reel and I drag the end of the hose back to the reel when I hit the button if the hose is out 40-50' and I take the attachment off with the quick release. ... show more

Absolutely Love this thing. A little pricey but I am very impressed with the quality and the function. Feel a little lazy holding a button instead of turning a handle but Wow is it really nice. Since this is a European (German) product, the hose is a smaller diameter. At first I was a little concerned but should not have been. I am very confident that this product will be around and functional for many years. Something to consider when thinking about how to mount this unit. The mounting bracket is not conducive to American "sizes". In what way you ask?...I planned on mounting mine to a 4 x 4 and as we all know, a 4 x 4 is actually somewhere around 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. So, before you dig a hole and concrete in your 4 x 4 (like I did), check the width of the mounting bracket. I ended up screwing another piece of a 4 x 4 to the one I had set in concrete. If I had to do it over again, I would have bought an 8 x 8 because I do not believe even a 6 x 6 would have been wide enough. Highly recommend! ... show more

I like this reel have not had it long to give a more complete report it is far more impressive to the water powered units however it is more expensive so far it is worth the extra price. the connectors are great. will give a new report when I have used it 2016 it is now 2018 2 full year of use still 5 great product this is second unit for me 1st unit 3 yeas older have not had any major problems with both . small problem with 1st unit the pulling out of hose you must be very careful the sprayer will come off I fixed it bought 1/2 female fitting with clamp as gardena does not offer with clamp however if you want a great hose reel with a long life , long battery life I am proud I found 2 great hose reels my wife loves these units 85 and 84 years have seen a few things ... show more

Great product! My wife has a back injury and this product allows her to continue to enjoy watering her garden, flowers and landscaping without bending over to pick up or haul hoses around. She can put the hose away with the push of a button. She tried using the lightweight, expandable hoses but they sprung leaks after dragging them across the driveway a couple of time. The Gardena hose is lightweight but very durable. We liked the Gardena so much that we bought a second unit. The units are mounted on opposite corners of the house and now we can easily reach every border plant on our ½ acre property. The aqua colored center pieces were way too much for me so I spray painted them to match the gray shell. This is a tool and I wanted it to blend into the house and landscaping before the home owners association came to ask me to take it down for being outside the accepted color schemes. ... show more

My husband and myself purchased a Gardena 18-Volt Lithium Battery Powered Swivel Wall-Mounted Auto Hose Box 35 Roll-Up with 115 Feet of ½-Inch Convenient Hose Guide. We purchased this item from Gardena on Amazon.com on April 18, 2016 and the original purchase price for this item was $370.75 plus tax. We also purchased the Gardena 8155 Premium 3-Pattern Garden Hose Watering Wand from Gardena on Amazon.com on April 18, 2016 and the original purchase price for this item was $62.67 plus tax. The plastic on the Gardena Garden Hose Watering Wand broke last year and we haven’t been able to use it since. The Gardena Wall-Mounted Auto Hose Box started working intermittently two years ago and this year it will not work at all. The battery will not hold charge or work at all. These items have only been used for personal, private use at our home and we are extremely disappointed in the amount of money we spent vs the quality of the products that we received and the durability. This will be the third time that I have emailed Gardena Customer Service about the items – the first and second time I received no response at all from Gardena Customer Service. Unfortunately, we do not have a local Gardena Retailer or Gardena Service Centre in our area that we can contact. I noticed that on Amazon, there was a 5 year warranty on the Gardena Wall-Mounted Auto Hose Box at the time we purchased and I can not find details regarding the warranty for the Gardena Watering Wand. I have emailed repeatedly to ask if we can file on our warranty claim for a new item or a repair of the items. And we have yet to receive a response. ... show more

We actually bought 2 last year and can report after a year of use we have no regrets. Works as advertised. Best solution I have found yet. we need every inch of the 115 feet in our big yard. The battery actually lasted the entire summer much to my surprise after consistent weekly use. It is a big piece of plastic so I was concerned about exposure to the Hot GA sun. I managed to hang it under a deck which gives protection and a spot in the front that gets mostly shade. I was also concerned about all of the plastic moving parts but so far have had nothing break. You are going to want to buy some additional attachments as all you get is what you see. Everything is attached with a special connector so if you want to attach various garden spray attachments you will need them. ... show more
