Description

TIPS & TRICKS - A finely edged garden bed provides definition and elegance to your landscaping. Before using the Weasel® Edger-Chopper make sure that your design is planned and your borders are carefully delineated. This preliminary step will save you from second-guessing the design once you start edging, and speed up your work. - Take note of the soil condition as you prepare to begin. If the soil is too wet, your carefully-planned borders may lose their sharp edges. Alternatively, if the ground is too dry, you may find that you are unable to create the smooth lines you are seeking. - An even depth of edging looks clean and professional. Work to maintain a consistent ridge of between 2” and 4” as you create your beds. - To minimize strain on your body, use the extra wide footplate to help you insert the Edger-Chopper into the soil. Rock the blade gently by pushing on the handle for additional leverage. - In addition to edging, the design of the blade edge allows the Weasel® Edger- Chopper to cut through small roots that may be in your way. This feature lets you complete your task quickly and efficiently using only one tool.

If you want easy clean edges around your flower beds, this is the tool. It’s so easy to use and does a great job plus it seems very well constructed. I just had mulch put down professionally and the landscaping crew commented how nice and clean my edge lines were and asked what I used. I showed them this. This little tool does a great job for me. It is well crafted and feels like it would last a long time. It has a good weight without being overly heavy. The height of the handle was just right for me (5' 10" male, 61 yo) I was able to use it to mark out the curves and shapes for the landscape plants I am installing around the deck. The end results were really nice. Once I stepped out my areas, I was able to come back with a shovel (flat works best) and top cut the ground from an angle to remove the grass. Then I installed the no dig edging and landscape prep, and then the mulch went down. End results were real nice. This edger made all the difference in getting the bed laid out in the shape I needed. I just followed that shape with the no dig edging. There are cheaper ones out there, but not this solid. I opted to buy a better quality for a little more money. This is a great value. ... show more

Nice product, makes deep cut so landscaping looks amazing but don't be fooled, it's still hard work. This only cuts down into the grass, you still have to take a shovel and detach the grass to remove it. I gave 5 stars because, as described, this products works great.

If you see a review mentioning this isn't sharp enough, ignore every word of the review. Having a cutting edge on a tool like this is silliness. You have to use leg power and brute force with these tools, unless you are working tilled land. This tool stands up to my foot power and does its job without flex of any kind. It's solid, and it will last.....a good tool...and for Amazon, I dare say the best you're going to find here. ... show more
