I have a standard half-moon edger. I bent it and was looking for a replacement. I came across this edger, ordered it, and it arrived the following day. I immediately tried it out and, the first thing I liked, I felt much more steady stepping down in the center of the edger versus my old one where I had to step on either side of the handle of the edger. I saw an online review of the Garden Weasel Edger-Chopper and had to pick it up. I prefer to edge my gardens manually but have been using a typical garden spade shovel. It worked fine, but nowhere near as easy as the Garden Weasel Edger. It easily chops through any lawn that growing in to my mulch bed and has no issues breaking through any roots that are in the way. The blade is thicker than other manual edgers that I've used, but I'm confident this thing will never break. Because it is thicker, it takes a bit more downward force than others might, so keep that in mind. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but if you're a bit light, it may be a bit harder to use if things get really overgrown. ... show more

    • Awesome tool for border edging your lawn
This tool is perfect for border edging a lawn that borders a driveway and sidewalk concrete. That way I don't have to constantly go through trimmer line digging a trench while edging the lawn. I saw a picture of a reviewer that broke his tool using it like a prybar shovel. This is not for that purpose, it is to cut the lawn as deep as the tool, then you manually dig out the cut grass soil leaving a perfect manicured 1"-2" trench around your lawn edges. This tool is plenty sharp to go straight in but you might need to water your lawn well around the edges if you have concrete type soil. If you use this tool as intended it will last you a lifetime. I used a old standard screw driver to lift out the edged lawn as it reached under the roots. I saw on Amazon a L shaped 6" garden tool with a 2" wide head for about 10.00 that would have worked perfect to get the grass and dirt out of the trench if I was to do it again on a neighbor's lawn.
