This is the "upgraded" style, not the "anti-tipping". I spend a lot of time on my knees, pulling weeds. This kneeler/bench is much more comfortable than the knee pads I was using, and it seems very stable even on ground that's not perfectly flat. Rising from ground or floor to a standing position, I need to brace myself, and the side handles are at the perfect height for that. This lets me change position much faster. If I want a short rest, I turn it upside down and sit on the padded seat. The kneeler/bench is easily carried in one hand. I weigh 240, but there's no hint of a wobble in either kneeling position or bench position. "Flaw but not a dealbeaker", as Wirecutter might say: Assembly took me about an hour and a half. That's not the product's fault; I have arthritis and fine movements like threading 16 nuts onto 16 bolts takes several tries for me, plus several tries to pick up each dropped nut. The eight rubber feet are a tight fit onto the metal frame, which I appreciated even though each one took me several tries to place properly. If I had it to do over, I would ask a younger person to assemble it for me—probably it would take them half an hour or less. The design of the kneeler/bench seems well thought out, and I appreciated that every connection between two metal pieces was made with two bolts, not one. Also it's nice that the hardware package included two extra nuts and two extra bolts. The instructions were easy to follow (apart from my clumsy fingers). P.S. I'm also using this when cleaning out the cat's box, because of the nice padded kneeler and the supports for standing up. Much easier on my back than just bending over, as I was doing.

Very sturdy and stable - Not tippy at all. Because of how the "feet" are. Also, the seat is "butt sized" - 10" deep - not like a thin little 6" bar like a lot of similar producs. Height is high enough for an older or unsteady person to easily stand up from (on the higher end of the available ones). Does need to be assembled, but assembly is pretty easy. Fittings were fairly good - on a couple of places the connections were quite tight and I had to work to get them together, but overall it went together easily. Light enough to easily carry around too. Overall, very satisfied, although I'm writing this after only one day of use. Ordered another one for my mom.

This kneeler has made such a difference in my ability to stand when out in the garden! It’s sturdy and I like the thick kneeling pad. It’s not soft but has helped my knees. I didn’t think I would use it to flip over and use for a seat but I have and it was so handy. A game changer for me! I also like that it’s all black. I gave it 4 stars because of the assembly. The feet wouldn’t screw in to the frame. I finally took a hammer and made them grip around the frame which made it possible to screw them in. It was very annoying and took time which was very frustrating.

Take a look at the 1-star reviews. I agree with all of them. It is a non-foldable disappointement that is difficult to assemble. The biggest concern it its lack of stability. I assembed it in my kitchen (somewhat difficult) and then sat on it. I was immediately alarmed by its INSTABILITY. It can easily to allow you to fall over on your back. Also, the plastic "feet" are brittle (I broke one) and very difficult to install. I heated them in boiling water to soften them a bit--that helped. Subsequent to my purchase of this $32.99 FLINTNER, my daughter gave me the $40.89 MOKO garden kneeler. OMG! The MOKO comes assembled, it folds up easily, and is high quality in every way. For $7.90 more than the FLINTNER, buy the MOKO!

Functionally, this kneeler/seat would be great, meeting expectations -- provided it is not left outside. After a rainy night on my patio, I noticed that one half of the seat, the underside portion that serves as the kneeler pad, had separated and was on the ground. This part was glued to the underside of the frame. The top part that serves as the seat remained glued to the upper side of the frame. Also, the rain made its way into the metal legs, which are hollow, and when I moved the kneeler/seat, rusty water drained from its legs. I've cleaned the kneeler pad and plan to re-glue it to the frame once it dries. Reviewing the description of this item I find no warning about leaving it outside, nor does the accompanying instruction page mention its velnerability to the elements. The item description should be rewritten to emphasize that it cannot be left in the garden after use.

This can be used either as a seat or a kneeling platform. Seats are easy to improvise out of other things, but the kneeling platform is terrific. For those of us who are elderly and still needing to do maintenance chores in our homes, it provides a comfortable way to work close to the ground, and more importantly, a safe and easy way to get up. For me it's a godsend. Assembly is required, but unfortunately the four "feet" that go on the kneeling configuration are very hard to install. They seem to be too small to fit on the bar, even though they're secured (eventually) by screws and nuts. I used a rubber mallet to coax them on, but I imagine some of the target demographic might give up at this point (which was step one in the instructions). Still, it's a great resource for old bodies.
