Lets face it, if you don't have any trouble standing up after kneeling you don't need this thing. I have issues with other garden seats because they are so hard to stand up from because there's nothing to hold on to. The handles for both sitting and kneeling are the perfect height to help you stand up from either position. The cushion is good and I don't have knee pain for days after use like I do if I don't use a cushion. It's a bit unsteady if you do not have it on a level surface but I'm very careful and don't lean too far back and I don't have an issue. If you tried to use it on real incline, you will fall, so keep it on relatively flat ground and you'll be ok. It is not designed for total support but for a little assistance. If it doesn't seem safe, don't do it.

This gardening stool/kneeler is an excellent device for anyone who has difficulty kneeling, whose knees require cushioning when kneeling, or who isn't capable of kneeling and standing back up without assistance. I haven't been able to kneel since having back and hip surgeries three years ago, and purportedly have a knee in dire need of replacement surgery, yet I can kneel comfortably for 20 minutes or so on this auxiliary gardening assistant as a result of cushions with padding thick enough to prevent the connecting metal bars between the cushions from jamming into my knees, a feature that I was formerly dubious about finding this time despite the numerous positive reviews, although not so thoroughly jaded that I was unwilling to give it a try in light of said reviews. It was my main concern when ordering this gardening facilitation device as a result of having experienced the severe discomforts caused by cushions with pathetically thin padding on devices of almost criminally rickety construction. Unlike those others, this kneeler is incredibly sturdy, enabling me to get back on my feet in a stable manner merely by using the "feet" (when used as a seat) to push myself up with my arms until I have lifted myself sufficiently to brace myself with one foot on the ground, or the floor when repotting plants indoors as I am wont to do. Tile floors are, needless to say, incompatible with bare knees. Albeit a great kneeler, I did not consider this device to be a particularly functional seat. Because the cushions are so narrow, I began to slip whenever I moved even slightly and had to readjust my position on the cushion incessantly to avoid untenable slippages in one direction or another or, even worse, falling off backwards. I didn't have to put up with that for very long, fortunately, because I have portable lightweight stools for that purpose and didn't buy the kneeler for use as a makeshift seat in any event. If you're looking for one gadget that performs suitably as a "chair" of sorts as well as a kneeler, just make certain you can maintain your stability in a seated position - while moving your arms and torso - on a 9" wide bench. Another feature of this gardening kneeler that I very much appreciate is the removable adjustable belt with its ample tool pockets, which comes in very handy when I have to stand and move around, or when it's strapped to the kneeler. The various pockets can hold every tool and accessory you might need but don't have enough hands to carry. All in all, I got more than I expected and precisely what I wanted with this purchase and am very pleased with it.

This meets my needs so well. I bought it to help get up easily from kneeling when I was packing for a move and also cleaning floor regularly. I am in my mid 70’s, and it is not easy for me to get up from kneeling on the floor without support. I have also used this as a seat when I want to take a break. Very pleased with how sturdy it feels and how well it works for me.

Used to get on my knees to fill cracks in driveway and pull weeds in flower bed. When used in this position the legs become handles making getting back up on your feet very easy. Turn the kneeling stool upright and have a seat and rest. In this position you are at an ideal level work on your car brakes, replace a tail light bulb, paint at a low level...any work a seated height. I really love this item. Legs lock in place and easy to release and fold flat for very easy storage on a shelf or closet.

Love the duality of product. This item is sturdy and well built . I did not want something that wobbled when I arose from either sitting or kneeling leading to the possibility of falling. Removable tool bag is very well made with extra stitching . Folding the item takes a little getting used to and a little bit of strength in your hands; I intend to use it for sitting for the planting season so in the late fall folding once or twice to put away is not a problem.

I love this! I have trouble getting down and getting up when gardening or even just doing some housework. I've had one for a couple of years for the garden. I just bought this one for inside the house. This helps me get on the floor and get up and have a seat to work on something on a low table.

This kneeling stool has been very helpful for me for weeding. I have an awful time being on my knees and getting up and down to a standing position. This stool is much easier on my kneecaps and is just enough off of the ground to make it easier to stand and more comfortable to kneel. The handles, while you have to be a bit careful if the ground is uneven, are a big help to push up to standing. At least it's something. I'm loving this thing.
