So let's be clear that this is NOT a heavy-duty kind of garden hose. I suspect if you ran it over with ... well, with anything, it'll get shredded. So don't do that. It's nicely lightweight, which is a plus when you've got to move it around from place to place (we've got a big space). Turn it on and it expands like ... well, think of your own metaphor. When the water is off, if you hold the nozzle open, you can easily wind it up for storage. The nozzle is so-so — not the best and a bit on the cheap side, but it's easy to swap in your own. The brass valve on the end is a plus; the whole thing is lightweight but not cheap. ... show more

    • Lightweight, Attractive, Stretchy Hose with Accessories. Durability?
My husband and I have dragged long, heavy rubber construction-grade hoses all over our property for years. I perpetually dread watering plants and washing the car because of having to coil these heavy hoses into a concentric pile of circles in a small space after each use. This new stretchable green and black hose, 50 feet long, is different. It is much more practical for most things I have to do with a hose, though when it arrived, I could not believe it could expand or carry as much water as it does. This lightweight hose with a fabric covering came with accessories including a nozzle, extra gaskets, and a holder around which I can wrap it. The connectors are gold colored, perhaps brass, and they include an off/on valve. If you happen to care about the aesthetics of your hoses, this is a good choice. It is truly attractive. I do wonder how long a hose with a fabric cover will last in our yard. I must pull it over hard surfaces--a concrete sidewalk, a brick patio, and a brick wall-- in order to get to plants that I need to hydrate. Even rubber hoses show wear when being hauled along this path. Still, I am glad to have it. It has already proven itself. I used it to wash the car recently and it was so refreshing not to have to heft pounds of rubber hosing into a coil when done. ... show more

    • Pretty heavy ends to claim it's "lightweight" but will be a nice addition to my garden!
The metal ends of this hose are SUPER heavy duty! The included spray nozzle is also very high quality. The hose is lightweight (as the description states) and I'm interested to see how it holds up- for as sturdy as the ends of the hose are, the middle of the hose seems not as much so. BUT, that might just be because it's lightweight. I will give it a fair chance to see how it holds up (and adjust my review accordingly). I like the included bag and hanger. That is a nice addition, as it will be easier to organize my potting area and just get this hose out when I want a little expandable and lightweight option. This garden hose comes in a good carrying bag, so it very portable and maintainable. It consists of 50 feet of expandable hose, 1 water hose nozzle, 1 hose hanger, 3 sealing rings and 1 storage bag. The water hose nozzle is very multifunctional as it provides 10 different spray modes to choose from. It easily expandable, so it can be used without worrying about the length.     • Don't stretch it.
My wife loves these hoses. They are light, and easy to move around. I guess they are still easier to drag around, when pressurized, but definitely light when drained. A very similar hose met an early demise when one of my sons stretched it to full length, then tried to stretch another foot out of it. The hose now leaks in multiple places. Just don't stretch it, and you will probably be happy with this hose. ... show more

This hose is absolutely fantastic! It comes in a nylon bag for easy storage and when taken out, the hose is a unique flexible material that expands and contracts. For storage, it winds up with ease to put away on a black rack that's included. The open/close valve works to shut off water as I hook the hose to the spray nozzle so I don't have to turn off a spigot. The sprayer has 10 different patterns from a light mist-like tinkle to a full-on knock-the-dirt-off-anything setting. This setup has been a lifesaver for everything from washing the car to watering the garden. This is the first hose I've had that's not made with a rubber exterior, and I plan to replace my other hoses with more like this one. We really like this hose. It is very lightweight and easy to move around. It expands well enough and is easy to drag when pressurized. We did have a hose similar to this one that ended up with leaks all over it after a year of use and we're hoping this one lasts longer. It is nice that it came with a nozzle, bag, and hook.
