My wood shop is in a 12x24 shed. Space is a premium. These helped alleviate my boards standing up against the wall.

These are heavy duty and went up easily. But the instructions indicate a drill and screwdriver are required. The bolts that came with mine require a hex wrench, which was not mentioned on the instructions sheet. Luckily I had one that fit but it was misleading to think you could drive these bolts in with a screwdriver. Now that they are installed in the studs, they are very sturdy.

I know, I know... I've become THAT guy that I see on social medial. The DIY'er dad that saves all his scrap lumber because you never know when you might need it. And to be fair, there have been more than a number of times that my scrap lumber collection has saved the day or allowed me to repurpose materials into something new and useful. I've made racks out of scrap 2x4s but wanted something nicer. The problem I have is that I simply don't have much space to store my scrap lumber. I've had it against the wall on the floor, but that's not good because the wood can pull moisture out of the concrete floor and warp. Also, it's a tripping hazard and at some point will cause you to lose it out of frustration. I've also tried storing scrap wood in the attic, but c'mon, we all know that's a terrible idea on so many levels. These metal storage racks are exactly what I was looking for. High visibility orange, but a nice dark orange that doesn't look like hunting gear. I have an older home built in 1964 and the garage is a nice, two car garage, but I can barely fit my truck. I am literally up against the wall when parked and the door has about 6 inches of clearance to close. The area on the garage wall above my truck is wasted space, so that is where I decided to place my new racks. The racks are made out of square iron and the corners are cut, bent, and then welded opposite the bent side. There are no welds on the side which doesn't seem to impact its strength. I'm sure it was done to save a few pennies, but this seems to be a common design. The ends have a plastic cap. The racks come with all the necessary mounting screws. I measured out the span and located the studs in the wall and marked the first bracket. Once that was secured, I placed the next one and using a long level, ensured it was level and drilled my holes and drove in the bolts using a socket wrench. The leveling and drilling of pilot holes took the longest, but installation took less than 30 minutes. I'm planning to install sheetrock on that wall this fall, so having the bolts allows me to easily take these down and put them back up again. The only thing I wish it had was some sort of rubber pin on the ends to keep lumber from falling off. The wood is not going anywhere, but sometimes I do hit that wall hard enough that I've been worried about wood falling off onto the hood of my truck, but it's rock solid, so no issues. I may drill a hole in the front of each bracket and then run a braided steel cable down that is secured top/bottom to ensure there is no chance of the wood shifting or falling. We also live in earthquake country, so always looking for ways to keep safe from things shifting or falling in the event of an earthquake. But that is no reflection on the company and this product. This has been the solution I've been looking for a very long time. So easy, clean, and sturdy. I could not be happier and now I have a nice place to keep all my extra lumber, because you never know, right?! C'mon guys, back me up here! I always read the reviews before buying on Amazon and like you, I appreciate honest, thoughtful reviews that help me make an informed decision. I hope you find this review helpful!

These make me feel like I finally live inside of a Home Depot, just like my dreams lol. For real, these are heavy duty, though. Their shipping box came totally mangled which is how I knew they're were legit from the jump. They're heavy enough to be stable but not so heavy that mounting them is problematic. Their depth is also decent, especially for stacking something more slender like 2x4's or in my case, some half-inch tall 6" slats that stack easily. These are great for a shed or a garage, or in my case a slightly larger pump house. Definitely recommend these for anyone who hoards stray pieces of lumber like myself. Can also drape wound up extension cords off of the arms as a bonus, or lay longer landscaping equipment across the bars as impromptu storage. Awesome.

That's why I'm so glad I found the WALMANN Garage Wall Mounted Lumber Storage Rack. This overhead heavy-duty rack has been a fantastic addition to my woodworking shop. Seem to be fairly well made and strong. I was concerned about all that weight (when fully loaded) being held up by only two lag bolts per side, but it seems to be solid enough.

Perfect for elevating my storage in my small shop. Mine are loaded with oak rough 1x6s and they're holding just fine.

I'm reviewing the WALMANN wall mounted lumber garage storage rack. This is a rock sold lumber storage rack. I have so many wood scraps from random projects over the years. This was the perfect solution for organizing many of these scrap boards. I mounted it fairly high on the garage wall to keep it out of the way, but still easily accessible using a short step ladder. This also opens up the space below it. Thumbs Up!
