  • Worked great, saved a lot of money
Size Name: 0.262X2''X34''
Worked exactly as expected and I saved a ton on my garage door repair. In my area they want over $1000 for a couple hours of work. Easy to find how to videos in YouTube on spring size selection and install. People are intimidated by the fact that they are springs, buts it’s really quite simple if you are handy. Big time DIY ROI. ... show more

  • Great springs
Size Name: 0.218X2''X25''
I bought these springs because both of mine were broken. Looked at a bunch all different prices and for this price for 2 i would give them a chance and im glad i did....great quality, heavy duty design and easy to install because of the instructions. I would buy again if need be.

  • Money Saver!
Item was accurately described and arrived on time. Being in a hurricane prone area, my springs are relatively substantial due to the weight of the door and all the bracing; that being the case, the estimates I received ranged between $200 to $300 (per spring, installed). Not wanting to spend $400 to $600, and being halfway handy, I decided to look into doing it myself and a quick search led me to several videos on the subject. From start to finish, it took me about an hour to remove the old ones, install the new ones and tension them, with another 1/2 hour or so spent finetuning the tension. I would think a professional, who does this day-in-day-out, could probably get it completely done in under an hour. Long story short, about 2 hours of my time ended up saving me several hundred dollars and I am so far very happy with the product. *In my unprofessional opinion* I assume it is best to replace both springs to ensure the tensions are equal and b/c the one spring that didn't break, most likely soon will. I wouldn't call this an overly complicated project, but you do need to be careful because you could seriously injure yourself - there are plenty of videos on this project, so check them out and decide for yourself if this is something you can take on. I would strongly recommend not standing directly in front of the spring cones while tensioning them - in the event a winding bar slips, you definitely do not want to be in the way. Unplug the opener and put a vice grip in the track to prevent the door from being able to open while you're working on the springs, but do remember to remove the vice grip before you try to operate the door upon completing the installation. As a side note, the teeth on my carrier (trolley) stripped out when the spring broke and the door slammed down to the ground from about 3' up, and I didn’t realize this until it was time to test the door with the opener, so I would suggest going ahead and ordering one along with the springs just in case you need it – if you don’t need it, you can return it (assuming it’s unused). A lot of good videos out there on replacing that, too - very simple and the part is cheap ($25+/- for OEM replacement from the Amazon Genie store). ... show more

  • BE CAREFUL OPENING THE BOX!!
The springs are great and easy to install, and the price was right. The only issue I had was they zip tied the two ends together to put them in a small rectangular box instead of a longer carton. One of the zip ties had broke so when I opened the box, one of the springs flew out and hit me in the leg. If the packaging is not going to fit the carton, then something stronger than a single zip tie is needed to hold those together! ... show more

  • Good garage door springs.
Size Name: 0.207X2''X22''
Works great. I wanted the double instead of the original one big one my garage door had. When I lived in other places with two, when one broke, USUALLY the other one was just enough until the new ones came in. Good instructions, works well, more quiet than what I had.

  • Don't bother!
Size Name: 0.234X2''X30''
probably like you, I was faced with needing to replace my garage door springs and was shocked at the cost of doing that with a service. I figured I was a mechanically inclined person with YouTube, I should be all set. “Save some money,” I thought. Well, I installed them flawlessly, but I noticed that my garage door was very sluggish. I double and triple checked the number of winds on the spring. Everything was in order, but the door still felt heavy, and the lift master opener was sluggish. Not being a garage door repair person I didn’t know what that meant but Money was tight so we let it ride. Fast forward several months and the continues to get slower and slower. Finally had a garage door company to double check the work. They verified that the springs were wound correctly, but when they set the door down on their digital scale rather than weighing the target 5 pounds it weighed more than 60! Another words, the springs are garbage. They do not have anywhere near the tension and strength that they’re supposed to have. So bottom line I got the pleasure of giving Amazon my money, buying the springs and spending a couple hours installing them, only replace them not even one year later. And honestly, they probably didn’t work right from the beginnibg, but I didn’t know better. Buyer beware. You get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Perfect fit for my garage. Easy install
Size Name: 0.225X2''X26''
These matched my needs perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised that the kit came with pry bars to tension the springs. Overall, these were easy to mount in place and secure. The included instructions were fine, but I found YouTube videos to be more helpful. The only area of improvement I can think of: My previous torsion springs had their size printed in large-block lettering, making it easy for me to find replacements. These springs do not come with any markings. ... show more
