The umbrella is very compact, and would probably be excellent for traveling and putting in a purse or backpack. It's got a tiny footprint. And it's very lightweight... But too lightweight and flimsy for me to have any faith that it will hold up or handle any wind. It appears very inexpensively made. Also, when I open it, it does stay open, but doesn't really lock well, and it looks like it could close by itself at any time or with any wind. While it would probably be a perfect, inexpensive and disposable umbrella to take on a trip, or to put in my child's school backpack and not worry if they lost it, I can't use this as my go to umbrella that I leave in my car and can't see it surviving very long. It has its place and it would function well there. But it's not the adult or regular umbrella that many people might be looking for.

Very compact and light. Unfortunately it broke the first day I used it. The description states "...withstand strong wind without breaking". I wish that were true but I found myself in Ireland during a rain storm without an umbrella. With that being said. The customer service team was excellent. They offered me a replacement or a refund.

I got this umbrella because it is small and compact and wanted to be able to throw it into my Timbuk2 classic messenger bag. Lately I've seen the importance of being ready and you don't just need an umbrella when it is raining, but also for when the sun is beating down. It fits in my bag, doesn't take up much room and honestly I'd forget it was there, that's how compact it is when it is closed. Open it up and it isn't huge or big, but it is big enough to shelter one person from the elements. I have yet to use it in the rain but it blocks out the sun quiet nicely. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when you close it up i feel the fabric gets all jumbled up so it takes some time to actually get it closed so it can fit into the sleeve they give you.

Umbrella is extremely light and is of good size, not too small. However has some issues: its' 1 inch less wide than advertised, also the inner side coating has chemical smell and I'll have to be airing it out in the sun to see if this helps. Also, hard to open, takes quite a bit of force to make it lock into place (it's not automatic), I have injured shoulder which created some difficulty with opening it. I've been looking for short term use small umbrella so the latter part might not be a deal breaker, but if someone expects to use it a lot, they might need to give it a consideration.

Easy to use (no buttons to push in) and lightweight. Seems just a bit smaller than other (basic) umbrellas but perfect for me and my 12 yr old. It curves in a bit too so don’t have to worry about poking anyone in the eye. Great price too

Lightweight and small. Perfect to throw in the backpack for a day hike. When it rains, pull it out and put it back when the sun comes out. Easy to fold up and put away after each use. Definitely only room for one under the umbrella, but again for travel or to throw in your purse they are the perfect umbrella. ☂️

The media could not be loaded. I love how durable an umbrella this small item is. Most small, easily packable/pocketed umbrellas sacrifice durability for lightness and compactness. This umbrella doesn't. The liner is extremely durable, the wires to hold the umbrella's shape are set up with two wires, versus the one usually seen even in big umbrellas, and it easily opens and closes without catching while doing so. The liner's durability kept me from getting splash-wet in rain. Overall, a very solid product that I was happy to purchase!
