Review of the Byte Depot Gamer Xtreme Gaming PC X1 First Impressions
Size: 32GB RAM | 1TB Ultra-Fast SSD Style: Intel Core i7 | RTX 3050
So far, the Byte Depot Gamer Xtreme Gaming PC X1 has the potential to be a good beginner level gaming PC. The first advantage of this gaming PC is that it is easy to set up. That is the quick start instructions explain the basic set up well. Another advantage is that it is attractive. The RGB lights work very well. Third, so far the cooling system works very well. The cooling fans are very quiet. A fourth advantage is that the GPU along with the NVIDIA software work very well. The GPU worked well enough to achieve a Maxon Cinebench 2026 version score of 17,541 which is within the high end GPU performance range. Fifth, the RAM works very well. Multitasking performance so far is very good. In addition, this gaming PC has plenty of USB ports (6 USB 2.0 ports, and 3 USB 3.0 ports) along with 2 HDMI ports and 1 display port. In addition, the Wi-Fi cards work well so far. Finally, this gaming PC does not have any bloatware such as Norton Internet Security, and McAfee Security. Please note that I have not played any games on this gaming PC yet. I am waiting on an external USB SSD drive for extra high-speed storage. Along with the advantages of this gaming PC, there are a few disadvantages. First, this PC only has one M.2 NVME slot. While there appears to be one or more SATA connectors on the motherboard, I am not sure because this PC does not have a basic documentation manual for the motherboard. Another disadvantage is the fact that the CPU is not a high performance processor achieving a Maxon Cinebench 2026 version score of only 944 which is on the high end of basic level CPU performance. In addition, while the Wi-Fi card works well, you will need to be very careful when attaching the Wi-Fi antennas because the Wi-Fi connectors are delicate. Overall, for basic 1080p gaming, the Gamer Xtreme Gaming PC X1 has the potential to be a good beginner level gaming PC. In my opinion, this system has what is needed to play retro games such as Dig Dug, and Frogger. ... show more

Slow, sluggish, shuts down randomly. Cheap case with flashy lights don’t make up for poor performance.

Headset and mic can't be plugged in at the same time.
Size: 32GB RAM | 1TB Ultra-Fast SSD Style: Intel Core i7 | RTX 3050
Got this for my husband and it works great! It was very easy to set up and use. Just a little sad that my PC which is a little cheaper can have a mic and headset attached at the same time. If it can attach to this one I haven't found it yet

Worked great out of box
Size: 32GB RAM | 1TB Ultra-Fast SSD Style: Intel Core i7 | RTX 3050
Booted up, no issues. Its a very big case, but loads of room on interior of it. Its very quiet and has room and is easy for expansion of hard drives. I moved over an older drive no issues. Fast, traceable shipping was appreciated.
