I'm able to use one of the controllers, but the other controller is a dud and doesn't work Edit (02/23/2019): Molly reached out to me earlier this week to either refund me or to give me another controller to and I asked for another controller to replace the dud. The next day it came in the mail. I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars because of the great customer service.

Update: I came back to update my review because of the great customer service I received. I was emailed by a manager regarding my review and they offered to send a replacement (free of charge) or a refund. I even mentioned that the issue could have been user error, and I was still compensated. If you cannot find or afford the original gamecube controllers, I would recommend these. You can expect to be compensated in some way if the controller is not to your liking. (Previous Review; 3 star rating) Recieved them in great, working condition. Works with adapter for wii u. After a few months, one of the controller's joystick started to move on its own. Tried cleaning and resetting the controller, but still not working. Possibly user error, but could also be the product.

The GameCube controllers work great! I tested them on my third party adapter for my Switch and they worked. Buttons are functional but don't click smoothly. I bet I'll break them in once I get to play Smash Bros on the Switch. The cables are a lot longer than I expected so you don't have to sit right next to the TV like you would with the original controllers back in the day. Since you can buy 2 for 1, I bought 2 sets. Sadly, one of the 4 controllers I bought didn't work, so after I asked for a replacement, the seller sent one out immediately.

UPDATE: Customer service was VERY on the ball about reaching out to me right away once they found out I had an issue. I do see a LOT of these review updates on here so it seems that they are aware that these controllers are cheap and some of them will end up being duds, but they are more than willing to replace them right away if a bad one is sent out. That may be a turn off for some people but to be honest, I am buying on a budget here otherwise i would have spent WAY too much of the official Nintendo version. Since I'm relying on a more cost effective off brand I understand that there may be a lower quality involved with that item. Most companies I've dealt with on Amazon that sell cheaper or off brand items will leave you stuck with something that doesn't work and basically say "well you get what you pay for". This is the first company I have dealt with that is more than willing to throw as many controllers at you as it takes to fix the problem and that is really cool! 5 Stars for customer service alone! My buddy got a Switch for Christmas so i bought him 2 of these so that he could play Smash Bros. One of them works fine with no issues but the other one does not function AT ALL. I tried EVERYTHING to get it to work and I even plugged it into my Gamecube to see if it worked there. and NOTHING! I am trying to find contact info for the seller to see if anything can be done to replace the non working one. Other than the fact that we were all disappointed that we couldnt play with both, this was still a good purchase and would have been a 5 star review if not for the defect.

I have owned a Wii for years and recently decided to take advantage of its backwards compatibility to play Gamecube games. I've never owned a Gamecube or an original Gamecube controller, so I can't compare this product to those. However, these are very well-made controllers. They're sturdy and don't feel cheap. They Plug into the Gamecube controller ports on my Wii and work with no issues whatsoever. You can't go wrong with these two controllers for one low price. Would definitely purchase again!

It's a cheap GameCube controller, and $16 for 2 of them is a bargain. All buttons work and it doesn't feel like it's about to break in two when I pick it up. The buttons leave something to be desired, of course. The face buttons stick up too high for comfortable sliding, and have a more tactile press than most controllers. The D-pad pushes in a bit before it rocks as one would expect, making it feel a little awkward. Shoulder buttons and sticks feel about as they should. I would not recommend this for competitive Smash, but for more casual games or anything turn-based it's generally fine.

My original review: The joystick on one of my pair sticks when pressed to the right with moderate pressure. My 8 year old son can't use that one or else he gets frustrated; it even sticks for me sometimes even though I'm playing lightly. The rubber already started tearing on it too. *** Update: I decided to return my controllers for an exchange. Literally 15 hours after dropping them off, I already had the replacement pair at my door. I also found a very nice email from the company, apologizing for the defective unit and asking if I was satisfied with the replacement. The new units work fine, and I have no issue with them. I'm still very surprised and impressed by the speed of the service and the genuine warmth of the customer care. I changed my 3-star rating to 5-star because I wish more businesses handled their customers this way. The GameCube controllers work exactly as I hoped they would, btw. They're lighter than authentic Nintendo controllers, and the analogs sticks are easier to move around (which may or may not be a good thing, depending on each user), but the button responsiveness is precise and I haven't run into any other issues.
