The material is very thick and sturdy, I prefer a softer material, maybe after a few washes the cloth will soften up. They are more of a decorative pillow covers than and actual comfortable pillow you can use while relax on the couch. I do love the price and the style of the pillows covers they go very well with my brown couch. The price I can't complain about, I had old pillow covers that cost me $25 ea. I had them for a year and a half and didn't want to spend $100 on new pillows.
