I've already bought two of these. One for myself, one for a friend. I assembled and launched them without any problems. I'm using Lightburn, which wasn't included. I tried both from a flash drive and from a computer—both are fine. However, using the computer, there were a few times when the head would hit the guide rails because it wasn't parked at the starting point. Perhaps it would be worth adding lines to the G-code at the start to direct it to the starting point, but sometimes it's more convenient to set the head yourself where I want to start. I haven't figured it out yet; this is my first experience with this device.

First off, I hate to give bad reviews. SOFTWARE NOT INCLUDED. But I have done everything I could think of to get this to work. There is no way (that I could find) of downloading the proper files. I took it to 3 friends and my daughter to see if maybe they could figure it out. But they had no luck either, they were all as confused as I am. It’s not like I am computer illiterate. This is just lacking the proper information. When I went onto their site, it didn’t even list the laser engraver machine that I bought. So there was no way of downloading anything specific for this product. I even went into YouTube videos trying to find something to help me with downloading a program to run this machine. Through all of my efforts I ended up missing the return date. So it just sits here as a very expensive paperweight.

Package arrived on time and very well packaged. Was very easy to assemble with one caveat, there isn’t a good diagram of or explanation of the belt routing/tensioning. One improvement that I would suggest is add a port for a rotary chuck/roller that uses the Y-axis for engraving circular objects. It was easy to setup with Lightburn and works well with it. Probably should have bought a more powerful laser model but so far it works well and is very accurate and quiet.

It arrived yesterday afternoon. Once I got it assembled, I did my first engrave. That test failed by making a complete engraved square on the piece of wood that came with the engraver. Figured out I had a setting wrong and had the laser to close to the wood surface. This one did not come with the piece to set the laser height. Using LaserGRBL, I used an image created by ChatGPT for a friend of mine. When it was done engraving, I looked over the piece and the detail was awesome. Only problem I had was the size of the engraved area. This was a setting in the software I used. I got that worked out, tried my 3rd test and WOW!!!!! I love it. The detail was on point. This is my first time using an engraver. This one was easy to put together and get running within an hour. You will have to use either Lightburn (not free, but has free trial) or LaserGRBL (open source). LaserGRBL was my choice. I 100% recommend this for those just starting

I am a noob with this. I purchased this laser engraver after watching YouTube video of people turning these things into a CNC plasma table and woo I have to have one. I purchased it to do just that and learn about laser engraving. It was a little difficult to pick up but watch YouTube videos on light burn and download the trial that's the way to go. Laser engraving turned out to be great I wasn't expecting it to be as useful original plan was CNC plasma table. If I were to purchase for laser engraving definitely go with upgraded model 10 watt laser and air assist you etch glass with air assist and other things, a camera will be a must I love this product!
