  • Exceeded expectation. Most affordable 4070 Ti Super with no issues and nice RGB bonus.
I wanted to build a 4K Gaming PC. This delivered and exceeded expectations, even despite the premium cost on Nvidia GPUs generally speaking. I ended up going with a 4070 Ti Super over a AMD 7900 XT. I didn't make that decision lightly, in fact I had already bought the 7900 XT, but ultimately after a comment from a friend and watching youtube videos about DLSS upscaling and ray tracing, I decided the price and rasterization trade off was worth it for me. DLSS let's you run games at a lower resolution and then uses AI to sort of "guess" what the frame would look like at full 4k. It is not as good as true native 4k, but not that noticeable and Nvidia is better at doing this than AMD. The ray tracing also just makes things like lighting and shadows look better in a lot of games. I'm able to run games like the Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, and Space Marines with a 4k output, maxed out settings, over 60+ fps. So really couldn't be happier. My CPU is a 7900x, just FYI. This is not a cheap card, but I wanted at least 16GB VRAM so this was my cheapest Nvidia option. While 4070 Ti Supers are not that cheap in general, GALAX was the most affordable option for me. I did not buy this for the RGB, but I was blown away by the colors, which I can control with my motherboard settings (although the rainbow rave default is probably the coolest). It came with a magnetic anti-sag arm to support the weight of the card. Not sure if that's a standard include at this size, but appreciated nonetheless and was able to figure out how to set it up without instructions. Lastly hooking these things up to the power supply took a second because I've never seen smaller 12(?) pin connectors before, but the 2023 corsair modular power supply came with a good connection for this. The GPU comes with a little dongle you could use as well, I'd just recommend however you connect it, make sure it connects to your PSU as two separate 8 pin connections to properly power this thing (unless your PSU has some fancy new direct connection for this). Either way, the setup for all of this was easy, I'm happy with the lighting, the price is great, and most importantly, I'm very happy with the performance, I now feel pretty close to the cutting edge of gaming. I personally wouldn't wait for the 5xxx series either, unless you don't care that much about price, I doubt those will have a much better performance per dollar ratio at time of launch, but do you're own research on that if you care. ... show more

  • Sexy and functional
I love this GPU, functions wonderfully, Looks Gorgeous, Fits perfectly in my HYTE Case and is compatible with every game I can think about trying. The value I got and am still getting out of this for the cost is crazy and appreciated. For gaming and productivity capability I recommend this GPU if you just can't pick gaming only. That extra ram is perfect. ... show more

  • Nothing here not to like. Galax 4070ti EX Gamer V2 (updated review Dec 2024)
Been hesitant on purchase of a new 4k series card. High pricing for these cards is a big reason. Found this Galax version (4070Ti Gamer EX V2) on sale and purchased it. 2 day delivery was awesome! Pros: quiet, cool, powerful, 12GB gddr6x, power efficient, DLSS/RT, Incredible performance even in 4k for many titles, we use it with Xbox Pass with PC on a 4k 120hz tv and flat out performs. Cons: Big cards, Uses newer 12vwhp plug for GPU power. It does include one adapter for 2x8pin PCIe, Price on avg if you can find them is still higher than anyone likes. Don't let the name Galax scare you off. These folks are responsible for some of the best cards made during their tenure. They are also well known in Gaming for their HOF series cards and over 20 World Records. The Gamer EX V2 variants (there are 3 variants of Version 2( V2 ), a black non rgb card, black card w/ rgb and white card w/rgb ) 30 dollar premium on the white version or 30 bucks more than the base non rgb and 20 more than the black w/ rgb card. They are identical in build. Solid metal back plates with open areas for effective dissipation of any heat. These cards even without any under volt run pretty cool in stock settings. Software lets you manage fan speeds and overclocking of the gpu. There is also a phone app that will allow remote use of the software and has a included GPU stand, a nice touch since these cards tend to be chunky. Starfield, New World, Forza 5, Forza Horizon, Protocol Blue, Nightingale, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, RDR2, Witcher 3 HD, COD, and tons of Xbox titles from Xbox live pass. Nothing the card can not handle and as always each game should be individually optimized for best playing experience in all games. I also use it on a 1440p 165hz curved monitor and you can play every title maxed without any real issue and it seems to do very well at 4k as tested on our 65" 120hz TV exceptionally well for multiplayer titles we use it for, racing and xbox games in 4k. The card has just been a joy to own and use. While it only sports 12GB of ram instead of 16GB of the newer Super Ti you don't see any real differences in game play outside of bench marking that shows 7-10% gains in some. If you find one of these for a good price don't hesitate to buy, absolutely solid card. Review updated 12/7/2024 Oh and this is as powerful as the 3080Ti and 3090 cards i own which is honestly shocking how they improved on performance while keeping the cards even cooler. Even after hours of gaming this card has never seen higher than 76.1 deg Junction temps (if you know you know) Really only thing holding these cards back is price. Great card other than that. Would recommend. ... show more

I've been using it for a while now, and it’s still running strong with absolutely zero issues. This card is a powerhouse, handling everything I throw at it with ease. Whether it’s high-resolution gaming, demanding creative tasks, or even heavy workloads, it performs flawlessly. The 12GB of GDDR6 memory ensures smooth performance, even in the most graphically intensive applications. The design is stunning, with the white finish adding a sleek, modern aesthetic to my build. The customizable RGB lighting via the Xtreme Tuner App Control is a nice touch, allowing for easy personalization. The app itself is intuitive, making overclocking and performance tweaks simple for users of all experience levels.
