I make kokedama and usually use Moser sheet moss. I was pricing out the better deal for my near future bulk purchase for a project I’m working on. I was incredibly surprised to find how much more moss sheet you get with this brand vs my old standby! I covered one $9 bag of moss from this company with $14 worth of moss sheet from Moser. This is a very nice product. I couldn't believe how much moss was in each bag. I was able to add a full layer of nice, green moss to 16 of my bonsai trees and only used 1 bag. So much value forthe money.

This stuff looks amazing and smells decent. I bought it for my small crested gecko habitat. My suspicion is it does appear to be dyed green and is actually dead otherwise. The bag reads, "in proper conditions, it can also come back to life!" So, we'll see how it fares over the next couple weeks and update the review 👍 ... show more

    • Smells really bad.

There is a nice amount of moss in the bag. My problem with it was the smell. Even after rinsing it off it still smells like chemicals or something moldy. It's bad... It could be the dye or possibly was damp when bagged up. Not sure. Maybe I got a bad batch because other reviews say it smells good.

I bought two different brands of moss to decorate my cornsnake's vivarium with. This one, and Fluker's Green Reptile Terrarium Moss, 8-Quart. The first two pictures are of this Galapagos Sheet moss that are sparsely used in places, it has a more natural texture and look to them. In comparison, take a look at the last two pictures where the green from the moss almost looks as green as the fake vine plant and is most definitely dyed green. I recommend this product for habitat decor. I bought this one first, then bought Fluker's for variety but decided to come back and buy this one. Another note, I keep humidity between 30%-60% (more humid if he's going to shed) and haven't seen any issues with this moss losing color. I also don't intend to "bring it back to life" so if you are trying to find real moss then this is not the one for you. ... show more
