I have been wanting a stick inversion blender for a very long time. They seem so convenient and slick that I had imagined using one all the time. When this one came up, I thought it would be a great choice for its features. Its styling is secondary to me. It seemed perfect for small servings of sauces and dips, so I made some guacamole with it to run it through some of its paces. It worked okay, but it was a bit awkward and seemed to do the same thing no matter which attachment was used (except the whip feature). The inversion stick pulverized and blended the avocado into a creamy goo, and the chopper feature ... well ... it pulverized the tomato, onion, etc. into a goo as well in a matter of seconds. It ... pulverizes. Not sure how well it will do on ice yet, but I'm guessing pulverizing it into gooey slush. It is a corded pulverizing beast in a small package; one that will take some practice and time to develop the finesse to make anything that doesn't resemble baby food. After my first test, I was feeling, meh. It is a one trick pony. Good at it mind you, but how often do I need to pulverize small amounts of things? Guacamole? Sure. It made enough for my small family for a Tuesday night. But what else? I let it sit on the shelf overnight calling out to me. I think I'll call it Christine. So I whipped up some eggs for my kid this morning ... quickly. VERY quickly. I found out the hard way that the higher you raise the whip feature, the messier it gets. Drat it! AND ... you gotta use a a very large deep bowl with the whip feature. Hmmm. After cleaning off the table, I decided to clean the attachments again. Clean up of the attachments was a little easier than using a more traditional mixer, the parts involved are certainly smaller, but was not as much fun as letting the dog or the kids lick icing (for instance) off of the beaters and then cleaning the rest off with the rest of the dishes. Christine's teeth are a bit too sharp for me to trust with tongues and fingers of loved ones, and it really seems like the kind of tool that should be tended to right away instead of letting sharp blades linger beneath the suds eager to strike. The first time I didn't try cleaning it while on in some soapy water because I felt a tad bit intimidated by the thought of water and electricity. The second time I gave into Christine's pleading and faced my concerns about cleaning it in soapy water while in operation. In my case I used soapy water in the beaker. The inversion stick gets drawn to the bottom with an almost magnetic strength, and the liquids rush through the cut outs around the bottom of the device. It made short work of the cleaning process and then a quick rinse. Did a pretty good clean up job with little water. Okay. That's cool. Maybe Christine isn't as intimidating as I had imagined. It is dishwasher safe too. What kind of future do I see with Christine? As my family grows away from me and I find myself alone, will Christine become my primary kitchen helper? Will I start with making daily smoothies and then end up with nightly margaritas? Will I thank my family for their home cooked meals and then let Christine chew them up for me when my teeth no longer can? In the end, will I be remembered as the odd old woman with the supped up pulverizing monster named after a horror movie auto? I think not. I ... hope ... not. It looks like it is built robust enough to probably last that long. Still, working with a cord in my small workspace was ... challenging. I will be using the kitchen table to work with this thing in the future. The 6 foot cord is probably long enough for most people, but with a vintage kitchen with few outlets, I found it got in the way and moved around with my handling of the device so much that I nearly knocked things off the counter. Also I had not realized how intimidated I'd feel at the prospect of putting a handheld electrical device into liquids. I guess the decades of safety indoctrination got in the way a bit. I am giving Christine a respectful 4, and hoping that she doesn't turn on me in the future. ... show more

This is a bargain for all of the attachments you get! We use all of the attachments for various purposes and each one works fantastic! The one long silver part we used to make milkshakes and it did an amazing job. We used the beater for mixing a few things and it does great! Wouldn't be good for thicker dough or thick cookie mix of course- those will burn a normal mixer out. We also used the chopper to chop up veggies for our bearded dragon and it did great. We then used the chopper to grind up cheerios for a recipe and it worked perfectly. And lastly we tried the chopper attachment with a jar of salsa. We have a favorite salsa we love but it's too chunky for us picky eaters so we put it in this for a couple seconds and it cut the bigger chunks down easily! Overall this thing works great and everything works as it should! Great value for this set! ... show more

I eat a low carb/keto diet, so cauliflower is one of my best friends (usually happily, but sometimes begrudgingly). I had another stick blender that appears to be on permanent loan to my son, so figured it was time to get my own again. So I'm not unfamiliar with them. I steam a LOT of cauliflower. Using the blender, I can puree it down to make a faux mashed potatoes. I make a lot of Shephard's Pie, so this comes in handy as mashed potatoes is the top layer. I had the idea that I could use the whip and maybe make a lumpier mashed potato consistency out of the cauliflower, but that didn't work too well. I think it's the fault of the cauliflower and not the whip though. Overall I'm very pleased with this. It works well and seems like it will last a long time. ... show more
