I made and decorated my daughter's 4th birthday cake and since the theme was Gabby's dollhouse, I found a picture of a cake I liked online for reference and on it had these Gabby figurines. I added a photo of the cake I made with the figurines. I do think that the set was a bit overpriced, but my daughter can now play with them even though I used them for decorations, so these were both decoration and a birthday gift. I purchased these in August, and it is now November and the toys have held up great so far. Normally with some toys, the paint starts to chip off in the joint areas or the edges and corners, but they still look brand new. Definitely recommend if your child is a Gabby Dollhouse lover. ... show more

This was my second attempt to give my daughter this dollhouse. Our first one arrived broken and missing pieces. Toddlers don't handle that kind of disappointment very well... but Amazon had me another here within two days, just after our Sunday lunch! Read those instructions! I am so glad I followed them all, step by step! We already had the add-on rooms with furniture, because I had bought them to stock other dollhouses that we had.. but finally, we just decided to sell some of the hand-me-downs and get the legit Gabby's Dollhouse. We're both glad that we did it, she keeps rearranging every room over and over. Her favorite part of the whole shebang is the rainbow kitty poop (sticker) that's in the potty. She had to show everyone in the family twice, and she still giggles about it. I believe this was a good investment, and, again, we already had the other pieces, so it was a very good buy for us - at least, the second time. It's a good height, my daughter is 4 and I believe she will play with this for several years to come. We both love little figures of this scale, you can easily mix in honey bee acres, some calico critters and other small hand toys. ... show more
