I like this G4Free windproof travel umbrella with its sky interior. It has a large canopy with well made hardware. I especially like the sky design on the interior. It makes me smile. The outside of the umbrella is coated with a silver layer for sun and rain protection. There is a chemical scent when I initially opened it. I set it opened to air out the odor. It is easy to open and close the umbrella. However, it does require some strength to bring the handle and top of the umbrella together to bring it down to size. I can't see my 80 yr old mother having the strength to do this. As for the weight, I would not say that it is lightweight. It feels like a regular umbrella which makes sense considering the material involved.

This is a great compact to full umbrella has a lot of cool features that make it an excellent buy. The handle is a good size at 10cm, ergonomic and made of wood. It weighs less than a pound and is just over 13" closed. It opens to a 46" canopy. It snaps open at the press of a button and press the button again and it pops to the first stage of closing. This umbrella will stand up to high winds with the sturdy shell that is waterproof, quick drying and 8 rib reinforced ribs that can be folded back over and it's good. That means it will invert some but doesn't break. Just flip it back to normal. The shell is UPF 50 and blocks 99.9% of UV rays. It's priced at just under $27, which is a great price for such a great umbrella. My wife claimed this one so now I need to get one for me. We highly recommend this Windproof Travel Umbrella from the G4Free Store if you are looking for an excellent all around umbrella at a decent price.

Okay, functionally? This umbrella is solid. Big enough to actually do its job, easy open/close, and the wooden handle gives it a touch of class. But the smell when I first opened it? Absolutely horrendous. Like it had been sealed in a cursed plastic tomb since 1992. I’m hoping the odor fades with time and use—because I want to like this. Also, I’m not sure the silver exterior is doing anything magical. If it’s not a functional choice (like UV blocking), I’d much prefer the pretty sky print on both sides or at least a coordinating solid color. Great idea, halfway there on the execution. Fingers crossed the stench doesn’t last longer than the rainy season.

I had high hopes for this umbrella after my other small one broke. The quality of the fabric is actually pretty nice and the handle is comfortable to hold. When you make it small again to try to close it and tighten it with the strap, it keeps trying to elongate itself as if the button was pressed. It has been rainy for me all week and when I got to using it to walk around my neighborhood, the wind blew it open and one of those times it returned to normal but for some reason shrunk again and I had to shorten it and press the button again for it to stay open
