Description

The G.Skill F4-3600C18D-16GTRS is a kit of two 8GB DDR4-3600 (PC4-28800) memory modules of the Trident Z Royal Series. The total capacity is 16 GB. The "unbuffered" modules are programmed to a latency of 18-22-22-42 at 3600 MHz and require a voltage of 1.35 volts. Intel's XMP 2.0 is supported. Posted at 3600Mhz the first time and looks great doing it. First gen Ryzen (1800x) can be a pain when getting ram to work correctly. The G.Skill posted and has been running with no problems on my MSI x470 Gaming Plus and Ryzen 7 1800x at 3600Mhz with the lasted BIO update.

The media could not be loaded. Aesthetic: Absolutely breathtaking when it comes to looks. This is easily the best looking RAM in the market and the way the RGB shines from the crystal top is unlike any other. This is probably the main reason why anyone would buy this in the first place. Performance: 3600 Mhz is fast for most systems with the minimum being about 3200 Mhz. This RAM is ideal for AMD users due to the high frequency however its CL18 (CAS latency) may be a bit too high for some. You may opt for the CL16 version although most people, myself included, won’t really be able to tell the difference. When it comes to bang-for-buck this definitely the wrong choice because you can get much better performing RAM at a lesser price albeit not as good looking as this Trident Royal. Some installation tips: It’s just as easy to install as any RAM but I have 2 specific tips for this model. 1. Don’t forget to peel off the film on each side of each RAM stick. That’s a total of 4 pieces of film that you have to peel off. 2. The silver mirror-like finish is a magnet for fingerprints. If you’ve taken out the peel prior to installation, try to hold the RAM with the provided cloth. I personally left the film on so my fingers wouldn’t come in direct contact with the material during installation. I removed the protective films afterwards.
