UPDATE: Well, fought it for another couple of hours, and finally got things working. Not sure what the problem was... Made some other configuration changes as well (installed an NVMe drive, and replaced the included HDD with a SSD, but neither of those should have really affected things). Dirty contact maybe? I tried swapping the modules several times for whatever good that might have done, and couldn't get a response. Finally decided to forget about the RAM upgrade, just go with what's in the system for now, and do a clean Win10 install (as I was planning to do from the get-go). After that, I thought I'd give the RAM one more go, and viola! BIOS sees it, as does Windows. *shrug* Original (Knee Jerk) Review: Tried to install these into an Asus ROG G752VM, and the computer fails to boot with the modules in. I can't even access the BIOS - all I get is a black screen on power-up. I found a thread on the ROG forums where another user installed one of the larger G.SKILL modules in a different G752 sub-model, so I think (hope) I may have just ended up with a bad set. I've gone exclusively with G.SKILL RAM for all my computer/laptop builds and upgrades for almost the last decade, so this really surprised me. Going to try for a replacement set of the same thing and hope for the best.

So I saw this memory for around $120 per stick and my heart didn't miss a beat ordering two of these for my brand new Dell XPS 15 9550 SIgnature Edition. Items arrived today and I replaced out my 2 sticks of 8GB Hynix memory that came pre-installed with the laptop from the Microsoft Store with the 2 x 16 GB Chips that I got. Runs like a CHAMP. 32Gb of memory with about 149MB reserved for Hardware. Since I run a lot of VM's in my Hyper-V on my Windows 10 Pro, this worked out really well. I have a Linux box and a Windows 2008 R2 server running in Hyper-V and everything works just great. I was running a performance test on a Web Application on IIS on the Windows VM with Mysql back-end running on the Linux VM - and the performance was dandy as I was working on two instances of Visual Studio and Outlook and Microsoft Excel. RAM makes the difference. I also usually turn of my Paging file, and with 32GB this is actually possible. I actually thought I would have to wait a while for DDR4 memory prices to fall, but this was a great upgrade for $240.

This Ram came quick, and installed easy. If your looking for an upgrade to your ram, this is it. Especially if you have a Ryzen powered laptop. I immediately benchmarked my laptop with this Gskill Ripjaw ram and it came out in the 99th percentile and overall saw a boost in other areas as well. No issues whatsoever exchanging the stock 8gb (2x4gb) ram in my Alienware 17 R3. Once in, system recognized the ram and clocked it to 2400. Been running games/apps no problem for the last week or so.
