    • Product was as advertised but One Module shows in BIOS as Abnormal. - Updated
The modules arrived in OEM packaging. After installation of fuor memory modules, one of the four modules reported in my BIOS as "abnormal" but the other were identified correctly as GSKILL product. I have tried to move the bad module to another DIMM slot with the same result. I contacted te seller, Hot Deals 4 Less, through Amazon and they responded quickly to the message. They provided RMA instructions. I also was able to called to confirm both memory modules of the "kit" were both needed back. They suggested to buy another "Kit" and return the bad "Kit" for fastest replacement. That is the option I am going with. One thing on the RMA, Amazon says it has to be returned by 2/1 but in the RMA instructions, you have 14 days to return the item or the RMA is closed. This can be a little confusing if someone doesn't read all the details. I will update as the RMA process proceeds. The RMA was processed without any problems and my credit card was refunded. These memory sticks are for those guys who like to go fast. 2400mhz right out the box (XMP profile activated obviously), these guys are amazing. Gave me 50% increase in read and write benchmarks over my 1600mhz (was only expecting a 33% increase) and even dropped my latency benchmarks! I was not expecting that, as this kit is rated CL 11 while that kit was rated CL 9. Still, this kit rated at 43.9 in the latency benchmark and that kit rated at 52. 3. Amazing! In game, while my overall FPS didn't rise too much (2 fps increase overall in 2k), my 1% lows and .1% lows did increase significantly. Also, heavily populated areas and CPU intensive areas had noticeable FPS increase. Overall, solid memory. I wouldn't upgrade TO it from 16 GB 1600mhz, but if you're building a rig and thinking of getting memory, considering 1600mhz is 80 bucks and this is 100, get this. ... show more

I've used this brand of memory before with good results, so I purchased this product to go with a new CPU I was installing. I installed a total of 32 GB - 4x8, and the PC recognized the total memory on boot up. No issues with this upgrade.

Dropped these (16GB) into an old Asrock Z97 Anniversary with an i5-4690K and O/C to 4.2GZ. Running rock stable using the onboard XMP Profile of 2400 setting in BIOS. Win 10 really needs 16GB to play modern games. Pairing this fast memory on an old motherboard using an AMD 580 makes Fortnight run butter smooth at 1080p @ 60hz. I have a Z68 motherboard that has been using Mushkin 16GB (8GB x2) 2400MHZ DDR3 memory for over 8 years without a problem. But I decided to update to 32GB ram and decided on this G Skill ram. I ordered 2 kits, so a total of 4 8GB sticks, 32GB Total. My motherboard was able to run the memory at 2400MHz, but when testing the memory using Prime95 or MemTest86, it would show errors. Even dropping the speeds down to 1600 had errors. I put my old Mushkin back in and ran fine with no errors. So I'm not sure if this G Skill might of been previous return or B-Stock that has issues. ... show more

I added a second set of G.SKILL to my ASUS Z97-AR board and am happily rocking 32GBs of RAM now. Things that can take advantage of lots of memory are a bit faster and Windows caches a HUGE amount of stuff when you're moving big files around. My rig is consuming about 10W more power over just a single pair of these even at idle, but that's not a big deal. ... show more

This is fast ram 2400 oc 2x8 16 gig kit. Really havent had the time to get the ram broke in but I hear the call of DOOM in my heart. The demons must die with the use of lethal force authorized.
