The waistband is very soft and does not bind or dig in at all, it's not leave any lines. I wear these to swim in because I'm almost 60 and have become someone modest in my older years. I wear these with a tankini top, they fit closely but are not fitted/snug, and because of the nice cut they are flattering. Definitely worth the money and I would buy them again.

The M seems to fit in a very flattering way. I'm 5'4"/130lbs with a relatively fit figure. The elastic is thin and a bit snug and the crotch gets super stretchy after being in the water. It's a little bizarre. Otherwise, the shorts are pretty comfy. if your waste is greater than 30", get a size larger than the M.

These shorts dry fast. And fit well. I'll keep buying them as long as they keep making this style! Please don't discontinue this style ever! Couldn't be happier with them. The versatility is great. They stay on great even in swift currents and while swimming in strong, fast-moving water. I've worn them in lakes, mountain rivers, creeks, pools, cold plunge tubs, and in all sorts of environments where getting wet is possible. Nice enough to wear with a normal shirt as a pair of shorts too, in a pinch. Especially if you purchase them in a classy neutral like black or navy. Makes packing easier when traveling.

Like many suggested, I sized up. I have a thicker build and I don't really care for the look of encased sausages for legs. The shorts fit great and were not too tight in the legs, they were actually loose all over, but not too loose. The waist band comes up high so even if they fell a little, I don't think they'd slide past my hips. I love the flower pattern on the shorts and the colors. SO cute! I bought a few pairs of different board shorts and wanted to keep only one. Although I am deciding to return these, they were my 2nd choice pick. I like them a lot!

I will be buying this in more colors. Cute comfortable and a good length for a 40 year old. My only complaint is the Royal blue isn’t as bright as in the picture. I was hoping for the color in the pics.

I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first because the stretchy band going around felt like it showcased my belly, but I ended up not minding that because it is so comfortable. It has a nice high waist and it’s a perfect length. Will be great for kayaking too. I got a size large.

The fabric is good and although I haven’t worn them in the water yet, I did rinse thwm out & they dried quickly. Oh, they seem to run just slightly small. I had recently bought another pair from a different vendor in the same size and these are just a little tighter.
