Description

How do I choose the right fence height for my dog? FXW fences come in 24", 32", 40", 45", and 50" heights. Choose based on your dog’s shoulder height — the fence should be at least 10" taller. For example, 24" for dogs up to 14" tall. For jumpy or active dogs, go one size higher for safety. Can I buy extra panels, gates, or stakes if I need more? Yes! FXW offers additional panels, gates, and stakes that can be purchased separately. You can easily find them by searching for “FXW panels/gates/ stake” or by visiting the FXW brand store. Can I connect two sets together to make a larger play area? Yes. FXW playpens from the same series, even in different sizes, can be easily connected to create a larger or differently shaped space. For better stability, we recommend connecting playpens of the same height (for example, two 32" sets). Can I connect different series or types of playpens together? Different FXW playpen series have slightly different connection designs. Please contact FXW team to confirm compatibility before connecting different series. Can I use the playpen as a room divider or to block off an area? Yes! Use the FXW playpen as a room divider or safety barrier with FXW Fence-to-Wall Anchor (sold separately). They secure panels to walls or doorways for a sturdy setup and let you extend the playpen to fit your space. We are so glad we purchased this fence! It was either buy this or have it built in our side yard. Believe me when I say this was not only way less expensive, but it is just as nice looking and sturdy enough for our two dogs. It was easy to put together, and works perfectly. Our dogs are in 7th Heaven! One dog is large (on the older side - not a jumper and well-behaved), the other small (2 years old). It's a nice large yard area where the can run and play together. We have bought 2 sets of this fencing and it’s wonderful, very easy to install and the fact that we can move it around is so helpful and so much cheaper than a regular fence and the fact that you can remove it and take it with you is very helpful. We had a couple of issues with some of the pieces being damaged during transit and customer service has been AMAZING and so very helpful in putting this issue right. Recently reached out to customer service again with an inquiry and they went above and beyond to help us. Bought 3 units with 48 panels for the front yard, all 32" tall. Pros: * Light in weight, strong 27x32" panels. * Easy to put up, my daughter & I fenced in a huge dog run in about 1 hr, after a rain storm (stakes went in easily on wet ground). * Easy to pull up stakes and move 3 sections as a unit, for mowing around the yard. That alone was important to us, being able to move it around, clean up the yard, change the size & location and still have a strong fence. * Medium size dogs can't jump over it, just tall enough. * We *want* to keep the dogs in the house, and OUT of the kitchen & bedroom, so we took one panel anchored it to the door frame with the optional anchor kit, just a little it up off the floor - works perfect. Door is open, and dogs stay out of the areas we don't want them in. * Looks great in the front yard, and adjusts to ANY yard shape, you choose. * Cheaper than permanent fencing, much less labor involved. * Gates swing wide open, even a bigger dog can easily walk through them. * Solid enough, a medium size dog doesn't knock the fence over by jumping up on it. Cons: * push the stakes into the ground, until they bottom out on the two panels. If your dog gets one of those stakes through it's collar, it could strangle them - cause they ain't coming off without you picking up your dog and lifting them off! * will NOT fold flat, and if it did, you have difficulty picking it up! The weigh adds up, 3 panels is enough. If it must be flat, just pull all the stakes (no biggie) and they'll lay flat on top of each other. My one concern is potential of rust - which I have not seen yet. It's rained here the last couple of weeks, still no signs of rust. Can a dog OPEN a gate...? Not if you put the latch on the outside, but, if turned around, yep, so start your pen with the gate(s), opening the direction you want, preferably OUT, and work from there. For us, we think it was well worth the $1500 for a big yard fence we can move, mow around, and enclose a big tree, open area, kiddle wading pool - right up to the house - the dogs can get a really good run across this huge "L" shaped area. ... show more

The fencing is super easy to install with two people and so far seems to be sturdy and well made. I like the idea that I can remove it and move it to another location or reconfigure it as needed. Currently I have it outside working like a regular fence for my dog. My only gripe, and it’s a minor one, is that I wish that the stakes were a bit longer going into the ground, but so far that’s really my only complaint. I like the fencing so far and it was cheaper than having regular fencing installed. A good buy. ... show more

Background: I moved to three acres with no fencing, and three dogs (two doodles and a German shepherd). The doodles have subpar hearing (when it comes to recall), so I have been letting them out one at a time on a rope to go to the bathroom. I spent a LOT of time researching different fences (in ground electric vs above ground). I decided to give this (45” x 48 panels) a try to build just a smaller backyard area off of the patio for the dogs to go out together (not on a leash), or sunbath while I work from home. This is WONDERFUL!! The product is so easy to set up, and does exactly what I need it to! One side of my back yard is the house, and we used some chicken wire under the deck to give them a bit more room. Ease of Use /Flexibility- We were able to easily put some pieces together and stand them up and move/adjust/figure out the border prior to hammering them into the ground. Because of that, we didn’t have to do a specific measuring to figure out where we wanted things! Also, there are several slopes right outside the patio, and the fence still looked great (no thanks to my Fiance and I both having mild OCD). Another great thing about how easy it is to use this is that if we take the camper out on a trip, or want to change this area because we buy more panels or do some landscaping or whatever, it is SO EASY to make changes!! Customer Service- the price dropped a week after I purchased it. Amazon generally will do a refund for the cost difference for their products, if the price drops within seven days of purchase. This is not an Amazon product, but I reached out to the company, and they refunded me 24% the next day! It is worth mentioning that my dogs aren’t huge jumpers… they have no desire to jump over the fence. Any of them could jump up on it, and I am sure it would be just fine/sturdy enough… but I know that wouldn’t be true for all dogs. My only complaint is that the doors. The latches on the doors are a bit small and not super easy to use, and the bit step is a bit inconvenient, but… it’s a small sacrifice. Not even worth dropping a star. ... show more

I bought two sets of 45” height with 48 panels each. I rent and have a rambunctious rescue that needed some running room. We had been trying to use a 30 ft leash before and the fence makes us both much happier. I did put fence on a good sized area of the backyard. The product was well packed, a couple of the pieces had a small ding or some bending to the fence part, but nothing that I would ever worry about. It was fairly easy to put up, though I did follow the advice of a couple other people. I bought black zip ties and put two spaced on each post. I also bought stakes for the bottom of the fence, though have not put them on yet. This fence is just what my dog needed and as an added bonus has also stopped people from driving their dirt bikes through the yard. I wish I had bought them years ago.
