The door worked fine for a few months and then it stopped closing on its own. It would open fine and then never shut. Now it won’t do either. Return window closed. Very dissatisfied and have to buy a new door. Waste of money. Edit: I had originally posted a one star review, but the seller reached out and sent me a refund and replacement door. The replacement door is working, so I updated my review to 4/5 stars for the excellent customer service. First time chicken owner and this door has been great. At first I thought it was too small for my Brahma chickens, but they figured it out and quit hitting the buttons going in and out of the door. I have only used the manual and solar opening functions but might switch to the timer come winter

    • Not worth the price or the hassle.
Edit #2: it quit working already. Won’t reset. Won’t close. Nothing but a red light. Definitely not worth the price. Edit to add: the seller contacted me and promptly shipped a new chicken door. We received it yesterday and let it charge for over 25 hours. This one works as it should. We’re very pleased! It works mostly but the light sensor does not work at all so I have to set it for an opening time and a closing time. I’m still trying to get that set correctly so I don’t even know if that works. Manual open/close works but kind of defeats the purpose of an “automatic “ door. I can’t go 2 weeks without a door to do an exchange so that’s what I’m left with. ... show more

    • Get the new model!
Tried to install on our chicken coop - one installed, the door wouldn't even make it all the way open and there was nothing in the way. Tried to loosen up and adjust and still would only work a small amount of the time. It's made with a plastic gear system and is very "janky" in it's tract system. The left and right side do not move evenly. Will be returning - do not recommend, especially for the price!! Updated: service team sent a new door that definitely has a different design that appears much smoother. Haven't installed yet as we already purchased a different one, but will try it at some point. The track is much smoother on this door than the first one that was shipped. ... show more

I used the automatic coop door for about a month, had a heavy rain for 1 day and it started acting funny and the light sensing would not work, so I had to push the manual button to open and close it for about a week and then it quit completely.. however, I contacted their company and they were super easy to deal with and they sent me a new one very fast ... show more

    • Worked for a few months...but then stopped
I was able to install fairly easily. It worked great for about 2 months, but now it's not working as well. There have been several days in the past week where it just doesn't open or close, so I've had to go out and manually do it. I was going to ask for support, but I just passed the 90 day Amazon support window. Definitely frustrating. ... show more

First one I bought worked great. The second one struggled and made a bunch of weird clicky sounds when closing. It's a gamble. they were quick to contact me and send a replacement, which works fine now. Few months later they are still working.
