Ordered the “teak” color and included some before and after pictures of the chair I used it on. It worked pretty well, says to wipe the excess paint off after letting it soak in for a minute but I just used a decent amount with a brush and let it dry as is because wiping it made it too light. Wish there was a color a little darker than teak but not as dark as the next available color. It worked to cover the discoloration of the chair from being used over time, and some nail polish remover spots that discolored it too. It arrived with some color leaked out so it was stuck to another package which was kind of annoying, but that’s okay. Would recommend. ... show more

This stain is excellent to darkening wood if you’re looking to achieve a deep brown. Take good care in your application process, as it dries quick which can result in brush stroke streaks. My recommendation is to water it down in a cup and apply to a misted surface in thin layers. The image here shows one example of this with this process. I was so pleased with the results I received from this product. I stained a small desk. Color was spot-on, it was easy to use, very forgiving. If you make a mistake, a little sanding and you can fix it easily. Also, clean up was a breeze as it's water based. Would definitely recommend it. The stains good just for basic staining but if you’re looking for some thing with what is a Spence, this is not it it definitely still lets marks from cups or any kind of liquid on the wood but if you’re just trying to send something down and get another finish.
