I've owned and used the chair regularly for about two months now. I'm a 200 lbs. (90 kg) man. Pros: Much more affordable than similar office chairs, reasonably comfortable, sturdy when not moving, very easy to assemble, castors all work smoothly on laminate floor Cons: The chair feels like it will fall over with me in it if I bend to grab something from the lower drawer of my file cabinet, it doesn't feel quite as sturdy when I'm rolling around on the castors Although I wouldn't say it is a con for me, I will agree with other reviewers who said the space between the armrests is a bit narrow, so if you have wide hips, that might be an issue for you. No problem here, though. Many of the negative things I read before purchasing this product (e.g. hard to put together, seat not being level, missing parts, strut not working) simply haven't been a problem for me--at least so far. I was previously using a metal fold-out chair before this one, so this felt like a very solid upgrade for not too much money. Thinking about buying another one or two of them to replace some of my older office chairs around the house. Bought this chair and it arrived on time, put it together excitedly b/c I had been without a desk chair for a week or so since my old one had bit the dust and was happy to be back to normal. I had it about two days and one of the castors snapped somewhere on the inside so that the wheel stayed in place but you could no longer put any weight on that particular area or the wheel would not support the chair any longer and you would lean enough to fall out easily if you were not ready to catch yourself. I was well within my return period but did not want to go through the hassle of dismantling, repackaging and sending the chair back, and this was mandatory for both of my return options which were a replacement chair or a refund of my money. So, I reached out to the seller via Amazon with fingers crossed and explained the situation and provided them with some photos of the damage. They responded VERY quickly and agreed to my request to just send me a replacement castor so I could replace the broken one. As I had hoped, they did not just send one castor either but a sleeve of five just like you receive when you purchase a chair initially. They also shipped them out quickly and provided me with tracking information. So with minimal back and forth they were very helpful and efficient with correcting my issue, I appreciate their customer service very much. The chair itself is exactly what you would expect from a $40 chair, it could be more comfortable and ergonomic and this and that but it is now stable, provides decent back support and raises/lowers easily. Plus, I have four extra wheels now in case the overall quality of them proves to be an ongoing issues. I have had this for about a month now. I work from home so I am using it 8+ hours a day. There are so pros and cons, but the short of it is that it is a cheap office chair and you definitely get what you pay for. I am about 5'11" 165lbs. This chair sits plenty high and lowers quite a bit. The height of this chair is nice, my desk is pretty tall and most chairs feel to short. The seat cushion is... acceptable if not a little underwhelming. It's fine, I don't feel like I am sitting on the base of the seat after a long day, but it isn't exactly good either. The mesh back is comfortable, but the "lumbar support" is just not good. It's not the shape is terrible or uncomfortable, it makes the seat feel tiny. The depth of the seat cushion is perfect... or it would be, but the seat back's lumbar support comes so far forward that you can't utilize the back 3 or inches of the seat cushion. Those 3 inches make the depth of the seat go from perfect to shallow. The arm rests are the ultimate low. For the price, I don't expect padding, adjustable, or wide armrest. However, these are far to short and quite narrow. The narrow part doesn't bother me personally, but if are a wider person, it will be uncomfortable. The armrest are short enough that they are completely unusable while type on my keyboard or using my mouse. They are also so low that resting your arms on them while using your phone is uncomfortable. That may sound like a lot of bad, but truly for the money it is pretty good. The chair seems sturdy. I don't hurt after a full day of work. The legs have flat tops so it is easy to tuck your feet on them. The chair has no squeaky parts. I can't speak to the casters as I used different ones for the floor I on. Ultimately, for $40 it is exactly what you should expect to get at that price. I assembled this chair by myself (I'm a woman). It was super easy to put together. I love the lumber support it offers. I am only 5' and weigh about 128 so it may not be suitable for larger adults.
