this bed is just as described, which isn’t always the case. it’s big, softly firm and attractive. it’s thick and my 10 yr old dog loved it instantly . the bolster on two sides is a nice feature, not too confining. and… it arrived a day early.

My dog gets hot easily and doesn't really like sleeping on dogs beds. We've gone through multiple dog beds but she never likes them. She likes sleeping on ours. BUTTTT she seems to really like this one. Not only is it not hot, it seems to be really relieving the right pressures on her body. I really wanted her to use a dog bed instead of cooling down on the floor because it seemed to be affected her back and hips. So this helps a lot. The foam is very supportive, deceivingly so. My dog is 78lbs and I'm able to feel under the bed while she's in it, and there's still foam between her and the floor. I've bought a few beds since a pup and he's definitely taken to this new bed. Since we just got it, I can't speak to "chew proof" as only time will tell, but seems durable. As for softness.. this mattress uses the eggshell approach.. so, TBD if my dog will be happy with it long term.. If our dog could talk, I imagine he would say "thanks for the comfy bed!" We have a 55 pound Doodle and the bed is perfect size for him. The foam pad is sturdy and supports him well. I have not noticed any sagging from him laying on it. The brown color is a good match with the rest of our furniture.

We bought the jumbo bed for my chocolate lab and have been extremely happy with it. After 4+ years, the cover was finally starting to wear out, so I bought this replacement cover from furhaven so it would be no guesswork. I decided to go with the quilted instead of the original fleece/suede so it would be cooler (we're in Florida and summer is on it's way). It's supposed to be the same quality and size as the original. HOWEVER, it is more than an inch and a half short all the way around and the quilting doesn't seem the same. I ended up having to trim the original bed down so it would fit. Fortunately, she seems to still have enough room to be comfy. I do have doubts that this will hold up for 4 yrs like the original. ... show more
