I’ve been turning for a few years now, and I learned with bowl gauges, but I wanted these for acrylic work mostly. The few carbide tools I used before were ok, but they were homemade, off center and dull, but they didn’t chip the acrylic as much as my gauges did, so I continued using them. I finally got these as my own set and I have enjoyed them so much more than the ones I used from a friend. They’re full size tools, which I like for most projects. Extra blades were included, which is also nice to have. Easy to change out blades, came with extra keys to change blades also.

Always wanted to make bowls on a wood lathe. These tools work perfectly, well made and reasonably priced. 2 bowls out of one log, great fun creating something useful out of something headed to the fireplace!

I experienced good customer service on the return even though it was a few days beyond the 30-day limit. So tools did work well, just be careful not to strip the screw when changing blades. I bought this just over 30 days ago and used it twice and no problems. However, I went to “rotate” the square carbide tip and the screw that holds it in place quickly strips. I did everything properly but now I cannot rotate it. I am trying to communicate to the company but struggling to do that and since it is just over 30 days since my purchase, it says I cannot return it.

These tools are the right size, not too short or too long. I like that they include a full second set of cutting blades and that they come sharp and ready to go and they’re a lot easier on my wallet compared to stores. Could easily pay $200 or more putting a set this size/quality together in a woodworking store.

- All for need significant deburing see image - Brass ferrule has been pushed on to far see image - Fit and finish of handles are less than good see image - Extra inserts a good thing. No extra screws not really a good thing

Got a mini lathe for Christmas. My first projects for a storage box for my bandsaw blades. I've read that the carbides are easier to start the learning curve. So got these. The answer is yes. Worked very well. Small project, door and drawer pulls, but turned out great👍. Am finishing, and look forward to the next project.
