We have buying bed in a box since they started over 10 years ago on Amazon. I can tell you; the processes to put a bed together have gotten way better. You will get what you pay for when it comes to fabric, tufting depths and hardware. This was a second guest room bed that will end up being for the dogs more than guests. But I was in pinch in a bigger home with extra guests coming. I bought the darker charcoal and would disagree on the cheapness of the fabric. It’s “linen-like”. And it was a decent feel. Not polyblend feeling and not course enough to be linen. It’s fine. The legs are plastic / wood looking. Fine. The beds a buck and half. It’s fine. I don’t know why people remove stars on damaged boxes….its a product review. So for the record, my box came in perfect. The Velcro of the slats is perfection. The base of the bed is no problem to assemble quickly and is sturdy enough. Put the headboard on the legs and do it last, and it’s a one person job, under an hour. We put a 10” mattress and the headboard on the low setting with no space showing between the two. Also disagreeing w others, I don’t find the bed too low unless this is your first no box under the mattress platform. It’s lower than my primary, yes. I’m 6’2”, old AF, 190lb and the bed is sitting just fine for me to get in and out / put my shoes on…. I’d recommend the bed to you. This bed was purchased for an older teen’s room. It took me about 40 minutes to put together. It wasn’t hard but the downfall was the instructions were just illustrations no words. But it was fairly easy to figure out. The slats go on nicely and they are not thin and flimsy. The frame is metal and has good cross support. The legs at the foot of the bed are some type of composite plastic but they are not flimsy or thin and feel very solid. Overall the bed feels solid. We have a 10in mattress on it. The head board has 2 positions that you can choose to screw it in at. We have it at the lowest one. The bed is low profile so if you are tall you may not want to be so low. This was a fantastic price. It is beautiful and thick. It looks much more expensive. I like the more modern linen cloth. The charcoal gray is the perfect color. One review said it held up well with a large body and how hard he was on furniture. I totally agree. It’s very sturdy!!

the bed has very soft wooden slings, it is written that they can withstand 1000 pounds, but at a weight of 170 pounds they broke, I write to the support service, no one responds, I absolutely do not recommend this seller

Overall, I like the bed. Very simple yet modern, BUT... One big disappointment and i hope that it doesnt cause further issues... the bed framing and feet were inside the headboard zipped up for storage. The metal framework ripped thru the upholstery and caused 3 seperate holes in the back of the headboard. Pictures attached. If I had the time, I would normally return a defective item however this furniture was needed for guests during the holidays so returning and waiting for a new order with potentially the same issue is not an option for me this time around. ... show more
