Buying a bed online has to be one of the scariest purchases. You never really know what you are gonna get. This rolls up in a box 1/8th the size it's gonna be and I had my doubts. But then once it's opened and outta the box and shrink wrap (came with an old school paper cutter my 17 year old kid didn't know how to use which was pretty funny watching her figure out how to use) it fluffed up quickly and I slept on it the same night. I had been sleeping on an air mattress for months before this mattress and I really needed this. It's soft but not too soft. You don't have to get a topper if you don't want one. I sleep so soundly on this bed each night and I've had it for a couple weeks now. There was not a weird smell to the mattress and really couldn't recommend this more. Price was perfect. Deflated, sinking and very uneven mattress. Even after few days it’s only 10 inches of garbage that you can’t sleep on. Sinking and deflated. Supposed to be 12 inches
