My son outgrew his twin mattress a long time ago, so it was time to upgrade him to at least a full size. I compared a bunch of memory foam options and this one seemed like a sweet spot at 12 inches thick and medium firm. It is super convenient not having to go to a mattress store, pick something out, and arrange delivery—this was very straightforward. The mattress comes vacuum‑sealed and rolled in a box, which makes it much easier to transport through the house than a fully expanded mattress and get it to its final destination. It is heavy, though, so having a second person to help move it is important. Unwrapping and letting it expand is very easy, again best done with two people. First you cut the outer plastic wrap and unroll the mattress; at this point it is still vacuum‑sealed, very flat, and easy to position on the bed frame. Then you cut open the vacuum seal bag and the mattress slowly expands. In our case it took no more than about five minutes to fully puff up and it was ready to sleep on. Other foam beds we have bought had a strong odor that needed to off‑gas for 24 hours; we did not notice that with this one and my son slept on it the very first night. One thing I missed initially was that the instructions and a small letter‑opener style cutter were included, meant to help you open the plastic without accidentally slicing the mattress or inner bag. I used scissors and luckily did not damage anything, and only later found the manual and cutter on the floor—so it is great that they include that to help avoid mishaps. All in all, at around 190 dollars it is not the cheapest foam bed on Amazon, but it definitely sits in the middle range. My son has been very happy with the firmness—not too hard and not too soft—and it has just the right amount of give in the top memory foam layer. I am very happy with the purchase overall, and my son is extremely happy with his new bed.

I researched a lot of mattress options before ordering the SLOMIX 12” Gel Memory Foam Mattress because I’ve always had traditional box spring and coil mattresses my entire life. As a single parent, I was looking for a more affordable option, and I’m honestly so glad I decided to give this foam mattress a try because it exceeded all of my expectations. The mattress has a medium firm feel that’s supportive without being hard. I’m a back sleeper, weigh around 130 lbs, and although I’ve only had it for a few days, I’ve slept like a baby every night so far. The 3-layer foam construction does a great job creating a steady, supportive sleep surface, and I like that the foam layers are designed to help reduce motion transfer and support the mattress edges as well. It arrives compressed and rolled up in a box… and I’m not going to lie, the box is HEAVY… but with the help of my teenage daughter, we were able to get it inside and set it up pretty easily. I also appreciated that it came with a small tool to safely open the tight plastic wrapping, so I didn’t have to risk damaging the mattress with scissors or a knife. It expanded almost instantly, and I was able to sleep on it the very same night. (Huge plus!) The product description was very accurate. I can’t speak on how the firmness level would feel for someone else, but for me it’s perfect. Overall, I rate this mattress very highly. It’s affordable, comfortable, supportive, and the quality feels excellent for the price point. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it if the specifications match what you’re looking for.

This full size 12 inch gel memory foam mattress ended up being a really solid choice for the spare bedroom. It came compressed in a box, and once it expanded, it fluffed up nicely without any weird lingering chemical smell, which I really appreciated. Setup was simple, just unbox, unroll, and let it expand. It didn’t take too long before it was fully shaped and ready to use. We’re using it in the spare bedroom, mainly for guests, and it’s been a comfortable option so far. The medium firm feel is a good balance, supportive without feeling like you’re sleeping on something too hard. It has enough cushion on top to feel soft, but you still don’t sink in too much. The motion isolation is decent too. Even if someone shifts around, it doesn’t feel overly bouncy or disruptive. The edge support is also better than I expected for a mattress in a box, you don’t feel like you’re going to slide off when sitting near the side. The knitted cover feels soft and breathable, and overall it gives that “clean, simple guest room bed” vibe that works really well for occasional use. If I had to be picky, I’d say it’s not a super plush luxury mattress, but for a spare bedroom, it’s honestly perfect. Comfortable, supportive, and easy to maintain. Overall, this is a great no-fuss mattress that works really well for guests and extra sleeping space without overcomplicating anything.

I got this mattress for my niece. She’s a teenager and weighs about 120 pounds. She has really liked this mattress and says that she has been sleeping very well on it. The mattress came compressed and rolled up in a box, and it expanded pretty quickly. It fully expanded within a day and I gave it a little bit of steam to help it on the edges. I tested it out myself and I think that it’s pretty good quality. I feel like it’s a medium firmness and it has really good edge support. It did it sink or anything on the edges which is always a concern with these mattresses. The foreigners also are very even and there were no issues with any of the corners, not expanding all the way. It is actually 12 inches so make sure that you get the correct size sheets with the correct depth for the pockets. Overall, the great mattress and I highly recommend recommended.

I unboxed this thing and it puffed up to the full thickness super fast without leaving any weird chemical smell in the bedroom. The knit fabric cover is incredibly soft to the touch and the top layer has a nice cool feeling that keeps you from overheating during the night. All the layers of foam blend right into each other so you do not feel any weird lumps and the outer edges actually hold their shape when you sit down to put your shoes on. It provides a perfect balance of pressure relief for my shoulders and hips while keeping me fully supported so I do not wake up stiff.
